Well, for an update, I'm currently 12 weeks late. I went to my doctor and he did a blood test. (Except he didn't do a pg blood test, he did the thyroid and everything else test. ARGGH!) My results came back...normal. (Of course they did, since the name of the game is "confuse the girl and get her thinking that she's crazy...") But the good thing is that he referenced me to see the local gynocologist (yay! no more 2 hour drives for me!!) to have an ultrasound done. Bad news...my appointment is for the 31st. AHHHH! I can't believe I have to wait almost another month to find out if there's a baby in there. The good thing is...I haven't taken an hpt in 2 weeks, and I'm still sane! :o) Don't mind me...I'm just losing my mind over here!

When you get neg. tests and still think you are pregnant they call it a phantom pregnancy. I do not understand this concept, but I read it on the internet. I am canceling my appointment for next week because I do not want people to think I want be preg and losing my mind.

I am so happy to find this discussion! I am a mom of 3 and had a tubal ligation last year. Recently I have been feeling a sensation of fetal movement - and have been trying to ignore it - but it is getting stronger and more and more difficult to ignore. Once I began feeling it - I became aware of many possible pregnancy symptoms that I am having - but not attriibuting them to pregnancy - as I thought a tubal ligation is FINAL! I have had periods over the past 4 months - although most are very light and never on time - which is very rare. I took a home pregnancy test today - and it came back negative. But I know I feel those movements - and having 3 kids already - I know what to feel. I made an appointment to see my gyn tomorrow. Does anyone know if you can get pregnant after a tubal ligation?

You can definately get pregnant still. I don't think anything is actually final, just as close to final as it gets.

I am very happy to hear that such things like negative tests happen. Actually I just had blood test done I was said it was negative and got upset...I feel like pregnant, and even though I didn't try to get pregnant I wouldn't mind at all to have my first baby...So thanks to you my hope is still there...

i done two pregnancy test and they were postive. i went to the doctor to him all about it and he said i prob be about 6 weeks then to do a urine test so i did then today its came back negative. but i was going to the toilet more often and tender feeling in my breasts and brown discharge, but then two days ago i got some slight cramps and blood but not a normal peroid.can anyone help

Hello everyone! This is the best website I could have found. I have symptoms but I took 5 home pregnancy test and ALL 8 came back negative. Symptoms are: lower back pain, breasts seem a lot bigger than normal - but only my nipples are sensative, there's bumps around my nipples looks like larger goose bumps, veins on my breast and very bloated stomach. About two weeks ago I started feeling like I had my period felt like I had cramps but no period. I usually don't get cramps unless I have my period. So I found that a bit odd. All last week I experienced cramps. And ate last weekend everything in sight every other hour. I even woke up two mornings 3:30 AM and 4:30 AM to pee and eat something because I've been starving so much. It almost feels like I eat and the food disolves in my stomach. I've also experienced headaches and my body temperature seems warm. Moodiness and now my chin is breaking out like crazy. My period is only a few days late but I just find all these symptoms very odd and the negative tests. So next week I will make an appt with my doctor if I don't have my period soon. Its very frustrating because if I am pregnant I want to be excited. But if I'm not I'm afraid I have a tapeworm or something. If anyone has any advice or words of wisdom please let me know.

hey ERIN i'm alot like you, the sensative nipples, cramps and no period, headaches. my story is there somewhere. last time i had a period was start of febuary, but all tests have been neg so god knows? sometimes i get a slight feeling like i'm going ot be sick, kinda like when it comes up ya throut but not all the way out ( hard to explain) i mean it could be nothing who knows.

Hi Casper...its frustrating isn't it? I also feel sick at night. I don't throw up but I feel if I could with the littlest movement. And not to be gross but my urine smells and looks different. My boyfriend thinks I'm nuts! Maybe both of us should go get blood test. Let me know what happens with you. I'll keep you posted. I'm gonna go get a blood test next week.

Casper, do you have irregular periods by any chance? I do have them but like you I had 2 periods in Jan (but I thought it is due to climate since I moved) and after that I havn't had any. Did qualitative test last tuesday, came out negative. Did two hpt one last week one this morning negative.. I thought it is just like other times I missing period but recently I had so much of nausea (like something is stuck in your throat and with a little help I could vomit) I can't lay down on my belly anymore it hurts and my lower abdomenal part is sticking out too. I had pain of breast in March and April, I was even scared to have cancer but my doc said I was allright (but still with my period situation she didn't even advise I should take blood test I requested on my own) No breast is not paining but tingling rather and nipples are darker but the rest is looking fine. I had strong reaction to smell last week, even had to go out of supermarket because all these fruit smell was making me to feel like throwing up... Please let me know how things turned out for you.I read somwhere here that for some people only ultrasound can determine pregnancy...I am thinking to ask my doc, but I know she will refuse, since qualitative test was negative. I wonder howcan it be??? My problem is that me and my boyfriend see each other once a month since we work in different states and so I had sex in the beginning of Feb and then April. I don't even know when I could conceive and how far I am in my possible pregnancy.

well my periods ahev always been a little off. about two years ago i was on the pill for like 3 months to see if it would regulate my periods and even thar didn't work so i stoped taking them. but they have never been this far apart before. i mean it's the 9th of may tomorrow i haven't had it sents the 9th of feb. i mean even for me that seems like a pretty long gab. sometimes i'll bumb my tits or lay on them at night and it hurts a little. one o my friends says that because i want it to be so much that my minds tricking my body into showing signs, but i don't know. i was sitting in the car the other day and i started to feel really sick i got hot and felt like i was going ot be sick but i didn't. i really don't know what to think any more, seeing only one line show up on those tests kinda confusses a girl. i dont want to go to my family doctor as i don't like him and don't feel comfortable talking to him. i know something is not right with me i just don't know what. i mean god i'd love it if i was pregnant but what if i'm not what if something eles is wrong with me, what if it's something that will stop me from ver having kids, ok freaking out here. i will leave this convo for a while and clam myself down laters

I think I am in a similar situation here. I have two small children, one almost 3 and the other almost 18 months. We weren't planning on having anymore. I had an IUD, but that was causing problems so I had to have it removed in September. Then went on the pill, but I was having a hard time losing those extra pregnancy pounds and we are planning a road trip to this summer and I wanted to lose some weight. So I stopped taking it and we were going to be careful, mostly around those fertile days of the month. Well I ended up ovulating a week before I had predicted (I could feel it--weird huh?! So I am now about 7-8 days late. Here's the strange thing, a few days after I ovulated I started feeling menstrual-like cramps. I wasn't due for my period for about 3 weeks. I let it go a couple weeks, and called the doctors office and they told me it might be a possible cyst. So I went in and they couldn't feel anything. So they told me to wait another week and call if I hadn't started my period yet. So I called them Friday--no period yet! I have a blood test tomorrow. Have taken numerous hpt's, both First Response and the regular ones. All negatives. My breasts have been sore off and on for almost 2 weeks now. It's not consistant though, some moments are worse than others. I'm still having the cramps, increased urination and hunger, low back aches. I didn't know that hpt's could be so unreliable until I read all of your posts. I really thought that after taking them I wasn't pregnant, so I did some painting. Now I'm nervous! If tomorrow's blood test comes back negative then the next step would be to check for a cyst. But do cysts cause your breasts to hurt??? My husband is out looking at 7-8 passenger SUV's, now I have a feeling we just might need one! The question that has been plaguing me since I've been getting all negative results, is "if it's not pregnancy, then what is it?" I hope to find out my blood test results tomorrow, if I get a moment, I'll share them with you. Thanks for sharing your stories!

The first time I was pregnant I took over 7 hpts and they all came back negative. I was very skinny then - so weight had nothing to do with it. I am 'plump'-ish now, and I am a few days late - have taken two hpts both negative - but I feel pregnant. I think hpt's generally suck. Am hoping for a BFP very soon!!!!!

Hi ladies. I am so glad to hear I am not the only one going through this! I am 22 yrs. old. In the twelve yrs. I've been getting my period, I've never been late or missed one. I am now six days late. I took an HPT at three days late and it came back negative. I took another one at 5 days, and got the same answer. I used the First Response tests that are supposed to detect pregnancies even before your missed period. However, my body just doesn't feel right. My breasts and nipples are really sore, I've been getting nauseus, (but not throwing up) I'm always tired, and have been getting weird pains and pressures in my abdomen. Should I try to wait it out, or test again soon? So confused!
