My boyfriend and I had sex the day before my 7 day period cycle was supposed to begin (I'm on birth control) I had that period, and we had sex 12 days ago. I took a pregnancy test today but I have heard that it is possible to get a false negative this soon. Since my next period isn't for another 2 or 3 weeks and pregnancy tests correspond with periods/ovulation, in how many days should I know for sure if I am pregnant or not? Was that test accurate or was it too soon? Since I had a period, my situation is different, and I am unsure when to expect accuracy or if I just have to wait till my next period to get an accurate reading. Someone who knows, please help me.
