nenni ok i went my doctor cause for two months i haven't had my period and i ask her am i still ovulating and she told me yes even though you is not having an period you can still ovulate

If you are late and are having negative pregnancy tests you should consult your doctor. They can do an ultrasound and see is you are pregnant. When i was pregnant with my daughter i had one at 7 weeks and was able to see her...so if your doctor says they do not know what is going on and to just wait, then find another doctor. I don't know what doctor would say just wait, when you are 3-4 + weeks late they can find the answer.

4 days late. 38 y old.
Girls, I just tried the hpt again and once more negative.
I was looking at the test and I decided to open it to see how it works inside.
Then I carefully took off the film containing the 1 blue mark (test done sign).
I looked closely to the line that was supposed to show up if you are pg.
You can see a bit shined line where the hcg should react. I forced my last urine drop on the film, and soon after I could see a very very very light blue line. I don’t know if I am pregnant but if I am I can tell you all later. It might be a solution for some false negative results. If somebody did it too, please let us know! I hope it works. If it does I am pg! If not … Well, forgive me for the high hopes I might give to you too!-(^_^)-.Let me know...

My period usually comes every 35 days and it's now 44 days and I still have no period. I'm constipated, bloated, my breasts are swollen and my nipples are huge!!! I have taken 4 pregnancy tests and all come out negative. I have done a blood test and will discuss the results with my Dr on Friday. I'll let you know how it goes! It's so tough being a woman, I want this baby so bad so fingers crossed ;-)

Well Ladies I had written a few days ago with the same issues you are all having and yesterday I got my period. It was 2 weeks late and since I was trying to get pregnant it was quite a let down. At least now I know for sure either way and can start calculating my ovulation again.
Good luck to you all and I hope you find the answers you are looking for.

hi, i'm glad to have stumbled on this site. i thought i was the only one. i'm a week late and my cycle is 28 days no matter what. i took a hpt 3 days prior to my start date, it came back positive. I took two more tests they were also positive. then at 2 days late i went to the doc for a blood test. it came back negative he said wait 5 days, still negative. now he wants me to wait 2 more weeks before he will test again. i am an emotional mess, nautious all day long, i crave foods i don't like, my breasts are swollen, but i have been feeling slight cramping in my abdomen. my husband and i just started trying again after being cleared by the doc(i had to have a copaloscopy for what they thought was pre-cancerous cells on my cervix, it turned out to be nothing). we really would like to be pregnant, could i just be causing all these symptoms because i want a baby so bad?

tahyra - July 6th, 2005 11:21 AM

hello everyone!!! first of all i think we should have a doctor on line for our answers... cuz we're all very disturbed!!! as for those with missed periods but brown spottind shout get in checked asap cuz one of my friends had the same simptoms + a light bleedin.. she ignored it n at the end she ended up with ectopic pregnancy(which happens in the tube) her tests were -ive as well in the begining, they had to remove her tube.now she has even less chances of gettin pregnant... i have a perfect 28-30 day cycle.but this time im 5 days late with all the test -ive.i've cramps in my tummy.. im takin painkillers...i just wish doctors were more cooperative...

Morgan - July 6th, 2005 1:52 PM

Tahrya, you are SO right. The chance of an ectopic pregnancy is very serious, but as far as your friend, she shouldn't be so worried. My mom had to have one of her ovaries and a tube taken out because of ovarian cysts. Well, not even 2 years later came my sister, and 13 months after that was my brother. So there is still a good chance that your friend can have as many children as she'd like. Anyone who has missed their period gets a negative result on a HPT, and a negative from a blood test NEEDS to demand a ultrasound. There is a place in Vancouver, WA that does them for free, use google.com and look for pregnancy resource centers in your area.

Mel: if any of your results came out positive you are more then likely pregnant. Tell your doctor to do an ultrasound, both a regular and an intervaginal ultrasound.

Good luck ladies!

I am eight days late on my period, there's frequent urination and moodiness and a negative hpt, am I pregnant?

linda - July 7th, 2005 9:27 PM

I am late also have taken 2 tests since I missed all neg how soon can it show positive result?

Lily - July 7th, 2005 10:26 PM

Wow, I am 6 days late, 49 and always start may period every 28 days. I too have already done 2 home pregnancy tests with negative results yet my breasts are sore, have a slight yeast infection and well concerned that I might be pregnant. My last period was on June 3, had intercourse on June 18 and no period. I will wait another couple of days and redo the at home pregnancy test. I can only hope that this might be menopause because I am a single mom of a 19 year old sone and 16 yr old daughter. Yikes!

Morgan - July 8th, 2005 12:39 AM

Delissa and Linda, depending on what type of test you take and your body, you can show a positive result as early as 5 days before your missed period. Some of the tests that say "99.9% accurate" "positive results sooner" are deceiving. Most brands sold over the counter in the United States don't show a positive result until 50-100 mIU. Your body wont start to produce the hCG until about 6-12 days after you ovulate, and the egg usually implants 8-10 days after ovulation. Clear blue digital is one of the most sensitive Home Pregnancy Tests you can by, and it tests at 25mIU. A good site to check out is www.babyhopes.com it has been very useful to me.
Good luck!

morgan thanks for the advice, i was going to book an u/s but i got my period. i stumbled upon a supposed "fail safe test" on another one of these forums, sorry don't know which one, but i did write down the instructions. this is supposed to work even if you are only 2 weeks late, it worked for another lady. you need to find Dandelions (their weeds) and pluck some large leaves off (not the tops of the flower). put the in a container so they don't dry out. in the morning pee on two of the leaves and wait at least one hour. if RED BLISTERS appear on the leaves then you ARE prego. it was the only test that worked for a lady who kept getting negative blood tests even after the doc heard a heartbeat. i hope this will help some of you. afterall it's free and it's worth a shot. take care and good luck to all.....

LINDA - July 8th, 2005 8:31 AM

morgan thanks for the insight I'm going to buy the test and try once again

Morgan - July 8th, 2005 1:46 PM

If you are in the UK, nearly all of the tests sold over the counter test positive at 20-25 mIU, just so you know. Also, if anyone was on birth control recently, it can take up to 6 months for your cycle to get back to normal. I stopped a hormone birth control at the beginning of May, my May period was 3 weeks late, June was 2 days early, and July was 10 days early. Good luck. And remember, nothing said here should be in place of medical advice. Any positive or negative result should be confirmed by your doctor. At the early stages of pregnancy an ultrasound may not be able to see anything in your uterus. So, even if you have an ultra sound, request an intervaginal one (it is exactly what it sounds like, though it's less evasive then a yearly exam).

Komeka Mitchell - July 9th, 2005 5:52 AM

My period is 7 weeks late. I took a HPT July 4th and it was negative and I had a test done at my doctors office on July 9th and it was negative. I'm always tired and I'm going to the restroom a lot lately. I'm not stressed out and my cycle has never been this late. I've gained a lot of weight and my breast seem as if they have gotten bigger. Is there a chance that the test were wrong? Or is there something else going on with me?
