I had a hpt to, but it was negative. Also had a blood test done and it was negative. the wierd thing is, I've had cramps a little over 2 weeks off & on. No sign of my period though. I also just got off the pill on my last period. finished the pack! My mom tells me to wait 45 days before I take a hpt. Well I'll see in to that. So far its been 33 days. If u have any answers, to help me figure this out, I'm all ears.??????

Morgan. You seem to be the expert here so maybe you can answer me. My wife and I have been trying for about 2 monthes. We used the calendar method and she has had a regular cycle for the past year. 29 days every time for the past 4 monthes. So we TTC on the 13th,14th,15th,16th day of the cycle. She was nervous and took a test 3 days before she was supposed to get her period (but tried it at 7 at night), then she didn't get her period when she was supposed too, and took another test two days after she missed her period (again at 11 at night). Now we are at one week past and I am wondering what we should do. I am hesitant to tell her to keep testing for fear of Negative tests and I also don't want to get her hopes up, I just keep telling her to wait and see if she gets it? Should we be testing more often? We need to hear more success stories on here!

Alittle More info.

She doesn't have sore breasts and she pees a lot anyway. So those are tough to tell. She has felt nausious the past few days even throwing up 2-3 times. But i think that could be nerves...its probably to early for sickness anyway.

OK, I would suggest that she take the test in the morning, when the concentration of hormones in the urine is higher. If that comes up negative, wait 1 week, and take another one, if that is negative and she still hasn't gotten her period, she should make a doctors appointment. It might be the hope of wanting to be pregnant that is causing the missed period or it might be that she is pregnant. If you are both healthy and under 35, it can take 6 months - 1 year, if you are over 35 it can take up to 2 years.
If she is not pregnant, I would suggest using the ovulation predictor tests. Don't have sex for 1 week before your wife ovulates, then 2 days before she ovulates start having sex every other day. Or, if you realy want to have fun while your trying, have sex every other day, LOL.
Typically, the average couple has a 25% chance of getting pregnant after 1 encounter of unprotected sex.

Good luck.

Morgan, Thank you. She woke up today and had her period. That is frustrating as hell. We are 26 and 27. We are getting one of those lipstick size saliva test kits to see. I think we must have messed up the days. So back to the drawing board. I am gonna keep updating this site with our progress.

Hey u guys. I really feel trerrible. I went for a scan to make sure everything was ok, I just couln't wait anymore. I was pregnant. I had a misscarriage yesterday.

Morgan to Husband - September 7th, 2005 2:40 PM

Good luck, I know it's really frustrating, especially with so many people having fertility problems, it makes you wonder. But more then likely, there is nothing wrong with either of you. If after 1 year you might want to look into seeking help, but more then likely you'll be fine. There is a website called www.babyhopes.com that has a LOT of wonderful information. I would suggested checking that out. Also, if either of you is getting worried or stressed, go to the doctor and have them tell you nothings wrong. Sometimes it makes it better when you hear from a doctor that you're fine.

Good luck!!

I am 11 days late today and had a blood test done this morning and it was negative, however I had the same thing 2 months ago and was in fact pregnant, my hcg levels were to low, so they didn't show up. Which in turn caused me to miscarry. So be sure to go to the doctor, and have them measure the exact amount of hcg in your blood rather then a set beta level of 25 or higher.Good luck

ladies who have miscarried - September 9th, 2005 3:04 AM

i have found out about a cloting disorer tht caused me to miscarry and supposedly have tubals because the clotting prob caused the eg to implat too soon and th wrong place. please exuse me if i have the initials wrong but i believe it is mtdrh, i think. it isn tested for alotbut you could ask for it. it can be helped for women that miscarry, you have to take high doses of folic acid and a baby aspirin a day according to the doc. good luck and i hope this helps someone
