I can't believe there are so many other women with this problem, yet it's so hard to find any information about it on any other medical websites. I am about 11 days late and I took 2 HPT's - both negative. I don't have any symptoms of pregnancy, breasts are sore like they are when my period is coming. I have felt like a big fat whale the past 2 weeks which made me think my period was coming since I am bloated and I've been really cranky. I've read a lot of the posts here and most likely it's stress... Since my last period I had to endure final exams, graduated from college, got a new job, and started exercising everyday. If that isn't the most stressed out a person could be then I don't know what is. I'll let you know what happens!

Hi everyone. Just wanted to check in... I'm still waiting to get my period. My last period was on 4/24/06. I finally broke down and took another pregnancy test but it came back negative again. I'm not pregnant so I'm going to the docotor tomorrow to find out what's going on. I've been having reall bad cramps for the last couple of days, I havent had cramps like this since I was a teenager. Maybe it's early menapause or the start of it? Who knows.. but it's driving me crazy.

hello again. well i finally got my period after 38 days being late. thats never happend to me b4. i've never been late. i usually get my period in 28 days. i had all the symtoms of pregnancy,especially being tired. im not stressed out on anything, and i dont really exercise. is this late period unusual?

This message is to (ineedanswers) Your last posting was on june 20th, did you ever get your period? What did the doctor say, did they do anything about the missed periods? I'm in the same boat and had a blood test done today. I already know it's going to be negative. I don't feel pregnant at all. I just want to know what happens next. HELP!

my period was very late and i had done a few hpt & all were negative so i waited a few days & did another and it came up with a faint positive so i went to the doctors & his test came out negative.i had a blood test done & turns out i was pregant.good luck at the doctors.

Ren05 - How late was your period? All of my pregnancy tests have came back negative. I'm due to start my period on July 17, if I don't get my period it will be the 3rd straight missed period. I have a ton of PMS symptons like bloating, weight gain, acne outbreaks, fatigue, irritable, my hands and fingers swell, I'm craving food & chocolate. The only weird thing is that I have sore boobs and cramps which I never get with my periods. I should get the results of my blood test back today and I'm sure it too is going to be negative. How do they induce your period? Do they put you on birth control? I don't really want to take BC but I can't keep going without a period, that's not healthy is it? By the way today is my 39th B-day, maybe I'm just getting older and my periods are going to start being irregular from here on out. I always wanted to have another child but I think I'm getting to old.

I am on 25 DPO (Days Past Ovulation) - which is not very common without pregnancy - and I got negative HPT yesterday again. :( Although I do not really have pregnancy signs. I have only slight nausea but maybe because I am nervous. No tender breast, no nothing.
Has anyone had similar experiences?
I have a dr. appointment today. Please cross your fingers. I'll keep you posted.

hello everyone well i am still late...and i still getting negative results....ive gained about 20 lbs in the last month and a half and have all signs of pregnany...pretty soon im going to demand an altrasound....this is starting to cause alot of issues between me and my ex boyfriend...so its best if i can just know for sure. please people if any one knows someone out there who has actually really beeen preg with all the neg results then let us know how you finally found out?

I'm 7 days late on my period, and, judging from two previous pregnancies, really believed that I would miss my period and have a positive pregnancy test on the day after my period was due. I was shocked to have the test come out neg. (With my two previous pregnancies, the tests came out pos immediately, even for my last preg., which was a miscarriage at 5 weeks.)


I'm trying not to exacerbate any anxiety I already have, but, as many of you know, it's hard not to think about this almost constantly. When I do manage to distract myself, I usually come around about five minutes later thinking "wow! I didn't think about the preganancy thing for almost five minutes!" It feels totally out of control.

Good morning everyone. Well I got the results back from my blood test and it was negative. If I don't get my period then I'm supposed to go back in two weeks and have another blood test done, if it's negative too then they want to start me on something to make me have a period. Has anyone else ever had to do this? If so, what does it do to you? I'm not comfortable with just taking something. I mean something is wrong and they can't tell me what. My boobs are extemely sore, yesterday they hurt so bad just to touch them. I've read somewhere that there is a type of cyst or something that gives you pregnancy symptoms. Why isnt my doctor looking at what can be wrong? Maybe I should go to a different doctor? Well, good luck to everyone.

Di0767 It is a little late but Happy Birthday! I went to my Dr., she took a urine test which came out negative and she told me I am not pregnant. She did not take a blood test and she did not even examine me. I have to go back in 3 months if nothing happens. She said she could prescribe medication which would bring my period but without a blood test I was not goint to take anything. What if I am pregnant? And she said it was ok to wait without taking those pills. But I am not going back that is for sure. She did not want to know what is wrong, she said I am a mystery ... That was not the answer I expected. I am going to see a fertility specialist. I have to do something with my 50-100 days mostly annovulatory cycle. And now this one .... And we want a baby in a few months ... Di0767 I would see a Dr. who wants to know the roots of the problem and he wants to treat those not only the symptoms. Good luck!

Hi Ericka thanks for the b-day wishes. How late are you? My last period started on April 24th and I havent had another one since. I have however been late for my period twice in the past year but never 3 months late. That's why I think something is wrong. But my doctor told me it is probably stress. I've decided that if I don't get my period by the 17th then I will go back and have another test done but I'm not comfortable taking anything at this point. They need to give me a reason why other than saying it is stress. I'll probably go see another doctor if I can't get some answers.

Hey, just wanted to let you all know that I actually got my period 2 days after my post. I've never been 2 weeks late before!! Weird.. well I made a doctor's appt just to make sure everything is ok.

hi, im a little new to this.. I'm 21 years old. i've been married 2 years and we just started trying for a baby last month. I'm always on time but my last period was on june 6. I've taken three tests and all negative. I'm now 7 days late.. please tell me anything you think will help

Hey everyone. I just thougt I'd let you all know that I finally did get my period today. I'm so happy and relieved, now I don't have to go back to the stupid doctor's.. woo hoo...!!! I have been so miserable these past three months and I think all the symptoms that i've had have just been exaggerated PMS symptons, but jeez I've gained 10 frigging lbs, now maybe it will be easier to lose it.. Wow, it's nice to feel like I'm not the only one. After reading through this forum suddenly I'm all hopeful that yes, maybe I could be pregnant! I had a brownish-pink light discharge around about 6 days after having unprotected sex and I thought it was my period but it didn't actually come. Now my period is over a week overdue (I am very regular!) but after having about a million hpt done, ALL have come back negative and it's diving me crazy! There's no signs that my period is on it's way, but I'm also worried it could be due to an ectopic pregnancy as that would explain why the tests haven't picked up the hcG levels (as typically in an ectopic pregnancy there are lower levels of hcG). I'm also concerned that I may have had a missed miscarraige. That would be sad but I really need to know whether I'm pregnant or not!! Argh! Also, I was wondering if diuretics could give a false negative result due to the excess urine production? Help!!
