update: i have even more confusion now. the last two tests i took had a single blue dot in the positive area where the line would show. the only thing that turns blue is the hormone. so could it be that my levels are really just that low and i am pregnant?

i went to docs today and he said if the home pregnancy tests say negative then your unlikely to be pregnant he made me feel stupid, i made him send a urine sample off for me just incase tho. He was usless didnt say what it could be apart from because i come off pill my periods arent regular but i came off pill November and my last period was jan xxx

Hey ladies, a few months back I wrote a post. I was about 17 days late n I got a negative home preg test a few days after I got my period. My last period was feb 18. I hadn't got my period n a few days ago I decided to take a pregnancy test just to c if I was thinking it'll get a negative result again....after 7 pregnancy test..it sunk into my head that yes I'm pregnant..so girls keep trying... just like I did soon enough ull get ur baby I have a doctors appointment 2morrow it'll keep u updated

hey I am now 24 days late. I have taken so many hpts i have lost count, 3 doctors urine tests, and 1 blood test, all negative. I have a bloated or full feeling low in my abdomen, very light cramps, Im very emotional and easily irritated. My breasts tingle at times and feel bruised other times. I get dizzy and feel faint occasionally and will feel nautious from time to time. I have to pee all the time. My doctor says if the tests are negative then im not pregnant, but Iv never missed a period before, and Iv never felt like this before. He said wait 2 months to come back and see him again, in June. But I feel like i need to know now. If I am pregnant I need to be getting medical attention from the start because both my mom and grandmother both lost their first child, so miscarriages run in the family. Not to mention that my wedding date is set for OCT 10 2009 and If im pregnant i need to move it up so that i will still fit in the wedding dress that is in my closet. I feel like this is a big deal that iv never missed before, and now i am this late and have so many symptoms but the doctor seems unconcerned. I was wondering if a doc would be able to diagnose it with a pelvic exam or an ultrasound this early? And also If he did an ultrasound would i be able to hear the heartbeat this early? I would so love to hear that.

Yes, an ultrasound would confirm..but most ins. comp. unfortunately won't pay for the procedure unless its necessary. If you are really concerned, possibly seek a second opinion? Many ins. comp. will pay for that. I know its hard--really hard esp. when it something you desire. But sometimes, its best just to relax and wait and see. I posted on here a while back that I had symptoms of being preg. Many HPTs and a doc test later, still nothing but I was like you and had all the signs. Unfortunately, I had to relax and wait and one day started my period. However, the next month I became pregnant...and I'm going on week 6. So, if u want, get a 2nd opinion--to confirm. Or go back to your doc and explain to him/her that you are in need of an answer.

well the docs was right about me a few days ago i came on he said to me your body needs to get used coming off the pill so i was really upset im not preg but hopefully when i dnt come on again i will be preg because my body is back to normal, so any ladies who have just came off pill id wait i did loads of tests and didnt come on for 2 months but i am on now :(. I came off the pill at the end of the pack , and had that period, and the one after, heavy and on time like normal when im not on the pill. Then nothing. I thought if it was the pills then it would have been messed up the first month, not now. What do yall think?

Well still no signs of my period.24 days late. Many symptoms.Headaches,heartburn,always tired but cant sleep,gas...i mean alot of it. I've lost count of how many home test ive done,all negative.

Yeah I think I am going to call my doctor And set up a pelvic exam or an ultrasound. I just have to know for sure.

I go to the doc today at 430 hopefully they will give me the tests i want. Ill keep you posted.

Hi everyone well here is my story...I missed my period so far this month I'm 3weeks late 3 negative hpt and one blood test tell me i'm not pregnant. My doctors says I missed my period due to stress. Heres the thing I have been stressed my whole life...and now my period decided to up and leave a month...lol I'm just saying a feel pretty pregnant and I have this stomach ache and this slight feeling of being nausea of day... I'm hoping I'm pregnant but who knows.

Ok the doc did like a 5 sec pelvic exam (i dont even know if he could tell anything for sure in that short a time) and urine test is still neg. Im wondering now if it is safe to go back on birth control since IM still not sure what is going on, and my period is still MIA.

ok blue_star, when you go to a doctor don't let them half way do things... if your not sure about something talk to them. I mean you're paying them to help you with your medical issues.

Doctors have started to treat the patient like a disease. I may not have a medical degree,but i know my body. I havent had a period since Feb 21st. That is so not normal for me. I havent ovulated,or had any blood at all since then. Ive done many home preg test,and a urine and blood at the doctors. Yesterday morning i had a sharp pain in my lower left area of my back. It was so horrible i got dizzy and threw up.I have never felt that way before. I have headaches,heart burn,lower back pain,tons of gas and fatigue. I went off on my husband over a sandwhich that wasnt toasted the way i wanted it,and i am rarely ever agressive like that. Anyone have anything that could help? Yahoo: Starrynightaw

After going off the pill several years ago, I got 'regular periods' for a month or 2 , but then went on a marathon, where I didn't get it for 90 days.. went thru all types of preg tests, urine, blood, etc.. negative. Also had an exam, etc.. finally went for additional blood work to test hormones, found out I was premenopausal. I was then given a shot and put on provera to trigger my periods, which I finally got. About 4 months later I finally conceived. I guess my point is, everyone's body is different, and having your Dr. run additional blood work, medications, etc. could hopefully help with a diagnosis.
