angie - June 18th, 2005 3:39 AM

hi ladies...well, i am a registered nurse w/ ob experience and I have endometriosis. I was on depo-provera and it totally messed my cycles up. My dr gave me clomid last month to get us pregnant. I missed my period almost 3 weeks ago w/ very light spotting on and off. He wants me to take provera to make my uterine lining shed and then increase my clomid. I have been nauseated and enlarged, sore breasts now. Difficulty sleeping also. all hpt neg x 4 now! I'm not convinced that I am not preg and am going to go to another clinic in am for blood preg test. good luck to you all.

also, the reason I told you that I was a nurse is because even w/ all the knowledge I have, I am still a basket case and unclear about what's happening to my body:)

Hey gurls. I am 15 years old and lemme just say how glad I am to hear all of your stories. First off lemme just say that i did not try and have a baby nor was it anywhere in my mind to have one at this age. But I had unprotected sex with my now ex boyfriend and I am 4 weeks late. I took several HPT's and they all came up negative, (personally I think they just say they are 99.9% accurate to sell the product, how else are they going ot make money).. So I got a little scared because I didnt know if something was wrong with me, so hearin your stories relieved me a little. I have swollen breast, eating a lot more including ice cream which I dont even like, very light on and off cramping, lower backace, frequent urination, moody, bloated. And I thought the same thing as you faye..could it be hormone imbalance? or stress? or maybe it was all in my head? So if I dont get it soon I am going to the doctors. And to you nikki I know you posted this a long time ago but having a child at such a young age wont mess up your entire life. I know it'll be hard but I know I could learn a lot from a child and as long as you have faith you can get through anything. Good luck gurls.

Morgan, well I still haven't gotten my period and today i'm feeling very crampy but still no sore breasts. I also feel so bloated but i'm thinking maybe its just my period coming soon. I'm supposed to get my period by the 26th of this month since i'm counting a 28 day cycle. i still haven't taken a 2nd pregnancy test. i'm just a little afraid and don't think i am because my breasts still feel ok. If i'm not pregnant i really hope my period comes soon because i would like to start the pill again but at the same time im a little scared of taking them again with all the problems i've been reading here. i'd rather try another method but my boyfriend and i arent good at keeping it safe! Honestly I wouldn't mind a baby but my parents are the main problem and of course i'd rather get married first and i'm a nanny so i know the responsiblities! I just love kids too!

Heyni, a good birth control to try is the patch. It's just as effective as the pill. You put one on for a week, three weeks in a row, have an off week when you have your period and start up again. I used it for nearly a year, the only reason I stopped is because the patch left dry skin and it got uncomfortable. My husband graudates with his bachelor's degree this December, and we want to wait until after he graduates to have another baby. Good luck with everything. Remember, see a doctor if your period doesn't start no matter what, even if a test says negative.

heyni - June 20th, 2005 6:43 PM

I have been thinking about the patch. Well, i'll wait for my period and see if its comes sunday if not i'll take a pregnancy test the next day, if negative i'll wait a couple weeks more and if it doesn't come i'll just make an appointment. i'm very afraid because i only took the pills for a year and I always had regular periods even before the pills so i think it should've not been this late. i hope everything goes well with you too. :)

After searching on the net for an answer to my situation, I ran across this site....After reading some of your statements, I am somewhat relieved that I am not alone. I am now almost two weeks late for my period and I am never late (my cycle ranges from 30 to 32 days every month). I have been feeling nauseous, my belly looks bigger and I feel sluggish. And I don't know how many people have come up to me and asked if I was pregnant. I've been to the doctor and had 2 urine pregnancy tests (a week apart) that came out negative. Do you think that something may be wrong with me. I had blood in my urine (the test done by the dr. showed that) and I have had a small amount of bloody discharge about three or four times over the two week period that I've been late with no other problems. Any ideas or response your may have would be greatly appreciated.

Karen - June 21st, 2005 1:21 PM

Thank all of you for posting your problems. I went for a DNC back in Sept 2004 because I was bleeding almost non-stop. My periods have be regular since. My periods are usually 30-33 days apart. I am now a week late from the 33 days point. I have taken lots of pregnancy tests and all negative. I have sore swollen breasts, cramping, and nausea. My wedding ring doesn't fit me anymore either. The last time my ring didn't fit was when I was pregnant with my son. I was showing signs of pregnancy with my son before my period was due, so for me to be having them after doesn't surprise me. I have PCOS and Hashimotos disease. Both not diagnosed till after I had my son. My hubby and I have been TTC planning it out. If it happens it happens, if it doesn't it doesn't. I just would like a pregnancy test to say positive or to get my period. Not knowing is the worst. I have a doctor's appointment on Thursday. I haven't taken a test for a couple of days, so I might take another one today. Least I am not alone.

blondie - June 22nd, 2005 11:12 AM

I have had the same problem I havent had a period since March took numerous tests all negative went too the doctor, test still negative, they actually did blood work for your thyroid, and come to find out my thyroid was low, and if you read about low thyroid, it has all the same symptoms as pregnancy kinda weird, so trying some meds to get back on track i have never missed a period in my whole life until now... just a little tidbit!!

Pleshia - June 22nd, 2005 11:22 AM

Blondie, I actually thought I was having problems with my thyroid three or four months ago b/c of other symptoms and I was tested then and I was told that I didn't have a thyroid problem, that everything was fine with the test....I wonder if I may be having a problem with my thyroid now b/c I have also been having bad acid reflux for the past week or two....is acid reflux a symptom of thyroid problems or pregnancy?

blondie - June 22nd, 2005 11:31 AM

Pleshia, I have been tested before for my thyroid and they couldnt locate anything, they say that its hard to detect sometimes in people I was having severe heartburn, bloating, missed periods, so it could be, like i said they claim its hard to detect so im not really sure?? but I havent noticed anything different I have only been on meds for a week now, but might be something you want to get checked out again??

Pleshia - June 22nd, 2005 11:47 AM

Thanks Blondie for the info. I never knew that....the only thing though with me, my periods are ALWAYS on schedule (at least within a day or two). This is the first time I've ever been this late since I started my period when I was 13 (I'm now 25). My husband and I don't use any type of protection and haven't been using any for over a year now. I've had 2 urine test at the doctor's office (both negative) so I will go back at the end of this week for a blood test if no period and I will have them test for thyroid problems also. Maybe they'll tell me one way or another....Pregnant or Thyroid....I've been having some bloody discharge again today....I am kinda worried. Just knowing one way or another would be a relief even though we would love to be pregnant.
