Heyni, the first day I had the spotting or discharge (which ever it would be called) was on 6/11 which was the 28th day of my cycle (usually I start on day 30 of my cycle - like I said above, my cycle ranges from 28 to 32 days with it usually starting on day 30) and I thought "ok, well I'm gonna start a day or 2 earlier than the norm" but I never started cramping bad and I usually do a few hours after my period starts. My first thought after no period was "maybe a UTI". I went to the dr. that Monday and she said that I had blood in my urine and what looked like a slight kidney infection. And since it was time for my period and I was having oral surgery to have wisdom teeth removed on that Tues., she went ahead and did a preg. test that was negative....I went on about my business thinking "my period will start in a day or two" and well here I am over a week later and no period. My stomach cramps (litely) every once in a while but not like a hard period type cramp. I've seen a little of the bloody discharge once today when I went to the bathroom. I don't know what it is. I hope and pray that it is nothing serious. Actually, I would love for them to tell me that I am pregnant but I am trying to keep it out of my mind and not think about it or worry about it, because I know that stress can cause a period to come late.

heyni - June 23rd, 2005 3:33 PM

Pleshia: i've been cramping once in awhile and i usually never really cramp during my period. plus i haven't seen anything the past couple times i've gone to the bathroom too and i still have some cramping. i'm going to wait till sunday and if it doesn't come or anything i will make an appointment. I hope all goes well for you too. I'm trying not to stress either but as you can tell i've been on the net trying to search what could be wrong but so far of what i've read about implantation bleeding i've had almost the exact thing!

Morgan - June 23rd, 2005 3:43 PM

My period was nearly 3 weeks late in May, then I started, well sorta, 1 day of light bleeding on 6/17. Then again on 6/22, but it only lasted like maybe 2 hours. I stopped birth control in an attempt to get back to normal, but my husband and I have been using protection.... I just don't know what to think anymore. I don't want to keep taking HPT and finding out that I'm not, but I hate having the "what if" thought in the back of my mind.

Pleshia - June 23rd, 2005 4:00 PM

Heyni, it does sound like we are having some of the same problems/symptoms...and I am like you too, I search the net for an answer to my medical questions and that was the answer I found also. But I don't want to get my hopes up even though it does sound like the logical answer...I hope we all can find an answer soon.

Pleshia - June 23rd, 2005 5:53 PM

Well ladies, just wanted to let you all know that I called the doctor's office for my blood results (pregnancy and thyroid)....they both were negative. So back to the drawing board. They told me to wait and come back next week for another test. They couldn't explain why I haven't started. I don't know what to do -- wait I guess.

Brittany - June 23rd, 2005 10:25 PM

i'm a week or 2 late but have signs that I might be getting my period. I had some problems going on at home can it be the fact I was neverous and it never came this month.

Rose - June 24th, 2005 6:51 AM

Hey everyone, I just kind of stumbled across this site! I'm glad because I am 10 days late and I actually got a very light blue positive home test, but then I took one yesterday and it was negative. I have been drinking a TON of water which I guess can dilute it. I have been nauseous and extremely tired. I have a swollen belly too. I read someone's post about no symptoms so early in pregnancy, but I know alot of people that have had early symptoms...especially with subsequent children, (this would be my second, and with my first, I was showing by my third month as well). My sister in law is pg with her second and is already out of her normal clothes too. But anyway, I am having some cramping, but not a whole lot, and I don't know why I would get a + (although it was very light) and then get a neg. Any ideas?

heyni - June 24th, 2005 10:43 AM

well if it was my period I'm not starting the pills again this sunday. i'm going to take an hpt possibly tonight, if negative i'll just wait for my next period and maybe start a new contraceptive or just try to be safe until my period gets back to normal. I don't know if i'm just scared of it being neg or pos because i wouldn't mind having a baby but at the same time I don't think i'm ready. this is so stressing but i'll try not to stress much. I really do hope we all get everything solved. I'll keep you posted.

heyni - June 24th, 2005 10:46 AM

Pleshia: atleast you know your ok from thyroids but i don't understand what else it can be. well, if your not and we pretty much have the same symptoms then i'm most likely not either. i hope you find your answer.

Pleshia - June 24th, 2005 11:02 AM

Heyni, I hope that we can find an answer soon too. I don't like not knowing what is going on. I read on the net that my body may just not have produced an egg this month. All I can do is wait and see I guess. In a couple more weeks it will be time for my period again so I guess I wait and see if it comes then. Good luck to all and I hope you find the answers you are looking for.

Morgan to Karen - June 24th, 2005 1:25 PM

Karen, I think you misunderstood what I was saying. I didn't say "all" I said generally. I also said that all women are different and have different symptoms at different times. As far as when you're showing, that really depends on your body type and how many pregnancies you've had. There are also different types of maternity clothes. When I was pregnant with my son I had to wear bigger jeans at about 3 months, my regular jeans didn't fit, but I was WAY to small to wear maternity clothes. Generally though, most women don't show that early, as your uterus has not reach a size that would be above your pelvic bone. I'm not saying "all" women, just generally most women. Pregnancy and hormones effect everyone differently, and man I feel sorry for you, I would HATE to have morning sickness that long!

stephanie - June 24th, 2005 2:55 PM

hey guys still late and went to the doc today and still neg i don't know what else to do they told me to come back in jul if i still don't have a period wish me luck all..... baby dust to all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Morgan - June 24th, 2005 5:11 PM

Isn't it hard to go to a doctor, someone who is supposed to be a professional, and they tell you, "well, you're not pregnant, and there is no reason why you haven't started your period. Why don't we just wait and see what happens?" What person wants to just "wait and see" when all of a sudden their body is acting strange? I honestly feel that you know your body better then anyone. If you're not getting an answer from your doctor demand more tests or find a doctor that can give you an answer. Good luck ladies!

Karen - June 24th, 2005 5:30 PM

Morgan, it was awful having morning sickness that long but it was worth it. I went to the doctors yesterday. Of course his urine test came out negative and his pelvic exam was negative, but he took my blood and scheduled me for an ultrasound on Tuesday. He said that it wouldn't be the first time someone was pregnant and the urine and pelvic said no

Morgan - June 24th, 2005 5:37 PM

Karen, isn't it so frustrating though? My period was completely normal before my son, and then after before I started birth control. I was diagnosed with endometriosis in Nov. 2004, and from then to now I've had either no period at all or extremely painful very light periods. I can't count the number of tests I've gone through. I've had regular ultrasounds, and even 3 intervaginal ultrasounds (which for anyone who doesn't know are exactly what they sound like). I've been put on so many different type of birth control to try and "fix" the pain and such, and nothing has worked. So now the doctor isn't sure whether or not I have endometriosis, because the only way to know for sure is a biopsy of the cells, and since I'm in good health with no fertility problems (yet) they don't want to perform the surgery. Which is alright, I don't really want an exploritory surgery anyway. I just hate being told by a doctor "let's wait and see" it drives you crazy! Makes me want to try and get pregnant just to see what the heck is wrong with me. If I'm trying and nothing's happening, maybe the doctor will be more willing to run more tests. Good luck with the ultrasound, I hope you get an answer either way!
