Period Late But Tests Negative

i have a 8 year old son. anyway 7 years ago i had a ectopic pregnancy and had my left tube removed and the doctors said id never conceive as my right tube badly blocked.since then my periods have always been on time but now im over a week late and i feel pregnant but pregnncy test was negative.i am confused is it wishful thinking.im worried it could be another ectopic.
