Time For Blood Test

I had irregular period. with clearblue ovulation test,I got a ovulation positive on 15th May, had sex for three days, the BBT increased. Today, 26.May, I had appoinment with doctor for my period problem, I took blood test , negative, is it true negative or is it too early to get the blood test. When is the best time for blood test. Please help me
