Hello I was just wondering if anyone was 5 weeks and has already gained weight I thought I had not gained weight and then I stepped on the scale when I was at the gym and it said I had gained 4 lbs all ready! This is my 3rd pregnancy and Im worried I have already gained alot for only being 5 weeks. Is anyone else in my shoes??

Yes I am 5 weeks 6 days and my pants are already getting tight. I think I am over eating becuase I am trying to eat all of the food groups. I am too scared to step on the scale though. I would rather not know.

Well Im glad Im not the only one. I was starting to worry because alot of the women say you cant even tell there pregnant and they havent gained any weight.

I gained several lbs right off the bat, but lost them around 8 weeks. It was just bloating. Coud be the same for you you two...

i gained 4lbs by the 5th week and it was just bloating. i'm back to where i was before i found out i was pg now... i am 6 weeks. my stomach was huge... i looked 3 months pg, but its back to normal now, althought i still dont wear jeans bc they are too snug on my lower tummy

Katy - March 4th, 2006 11:19 AM

Everytime i eat my stomach blows up and I look about 5months! Then as I digest my tummy goes down. This happened last time i was preg. I can't wait to show, its just disappointing that its lunch showing and not the baby.

Good so I guess its not just me. I am now 8wks and my weight is still the same . Although I havent been feeling the greatest I still want to go to the gym. I am just so tired and I dont have any energy.

Well I lost 2 lbs and Im not happy about it but I just started working and not been feeling the greatest. Im really tired and nauseaus.

I will tell you. I felt kindof bloated very early on. It was not real weight gain, but probably water weight. I gained more earlier on in pregnancy than most people do, but have slowed down now that I'm in my 3rd trimester. Strange enough no one could tell the weight gain on me. I assume most of the earlier gain was blood volume increase and water weight. If you started out pre-pregnancy thin to average sized (not overweight), you will probably notice a little gain in the beginning (unless you have really bad morning sickness). I was lucky and did not.

Girl,

You are not alone. I am very athletic pregant soldier. I am four months and I have already gained 15lbs. I lift weights three days a week and cardio five times ranging from 17 to 32 minutes a day. You would think I would be small but this is not the case and this is my second child. Just enjoy life and concentrate on being healthy and happy.

I think it okay if you have gained a little weight. I have 6 weeks and I have a little pouch now. My girlfriend was not even ten weeks with her last pregnancy and everyone could tell that she was pregnant, she was also wearing maternity clothes. I have been told that its different with every pregnancy. I hear it happens a lot faster each time. Like someone else said just make sure you are eating healthy and getting exercise. Good luck!!!

I am also glad I am not the only one. I feel like a heffer. I just feel bloated and uncomfortable and am worried how big I will get at this rate. I am rather small and this weight gain is throwing me for a loop.
