I did the elliptical 3-4 times a week throughout my entire pregnancy. However, I did slow my pace down, compared to what I did prior to my pregnancy. I did more slow and steady, than fast and hard. You have a head start because you excercised prior to your pregnancy, I was told as long as I didn't feel abnormal, extremely tired after completion, and didn't work to the point of not breathing well, than its o.k. My advice listen to your body and baby; I am so glad I excercised, I believe it contributed greatly to my fast delivery and recovery. Oh, it also helped me keep within the proper weight gain...I managed to keep it all in the belly and breasts...maybe a tad bit in the rear :-) |
