Well, firstly, I'm thrilled that I've been able to get into the site for the first time in days! Earlier this week I was anxious to share that I'd finally told my boss and everybody at work, and got such a wonderful, supportive response! They are so excited for me. They say they're breaking out knitting needles and skeins for booties and blankets, and are already discussing who to invite to the shower! I am so lucky to have such wonderful friends!!!

Because I reached the halfway mark over the weekend, and I have my 20-week anatomy scan today! I am so excited - I was in bed the other day with my hand draped in front of my tummy, and my fingertips got kicked out of the blue - the first time I felt it from the outside - so I just can't wait to get a look at the little critter who is knocking my insides around!!!

I'm feeling good because I can't wait to dress Alex in cute little rocker baby shirts!

I am thankful and feeling good, because today I sow the heart beat of my bean. It was unreal. I could not hold myself not to cry loudly.

Thought I should bump this thread.................I'm feeling good today because I've finally finished washing, drying and putting away all of Bean's clothes ready for his/her arrival. I don't need anything at all for the first three months and, even then, I think I'll only need a few sleepsuits and playsuits to get by until 6 months. Then the vouchers which I got for the Baby Shower will definitely come into play! Hooray! I feel as prepared as I can be now and am enjoying the "calm before the storm". Snowing here today - only the 4th or 5th day of snow for the whole winter which is very odd so I think it'll be a day for me and DH (who has a day off) to stay warm and enjoy the last few moments of peaceful "us" time. Hope everyone else is having happy thoughts - post them here if you have time! Big Hugs XOXOXOX

Hi Hopeful!! The countdown is on!!I am so excited for you..my neigbour is expecting on the 19th..(close to your date). She is having a girl. I am so jealous I want another baby ;)!! You must be sooo excited! I was thinking of you yesterday and wondering how you were doing. I wish you all the best with your delivery...and beyond of course!! Get your sleep now..I have not had a full night's sleep since Zoe was born. She was 4 months on the 26th. She is just a doll. You'll see when you have yours. It takes your breath away. Are you planning on breastfeeding? Do you have names picked out? have you finished your nursery? have you packed your hospital bag? Tip~ If you can get someone who can help clean around the house after the baby comes atleast for the first 2-3 months do it!! Also, if you have time..prepare dinners like frozen spaghetti sauce, or lasagna. Load up on groceries. Get a manicure pedicure..cause who knows when you'll get a chance again..Also get a hair trim or colour...again you will not have a chance to do it for a couple of months. If I think of more things or if you have any questions at all I love to help. Update us for sure and if you could come over to msn November mommies 2006! Check out the other nov moms. I am feeling good because I may be pregnant and I have a lot of love to give. I would consider being pregnant a blessing even if I will probably have to raise this child alone. I know I will be a wonderful parent.

I am feeling excited today as my buddies on this board are preparing to give birth!

because....................I had a checkup yesterday and things are "progressing". Apparently my cervix is beginning to efface so I'm on the home stretch (although it would be nice to know how long the "stretch" will be - no pun intended!!!!!). Great stuff! Kristin and lovemy3 - thank you so much for your kind words. You're soooooooooooo sweet! Of course, I will update as soon as I can - probably here as it seems the most appropriate place. Wish there were more positive thoughts flying around but I'm glad that Bimko, Col, Sonia and Janey have been on to share their wonderful news recently. Let's hope more will join us soon. I'm feeling good todays because.......my blood test results for Downs Syndrome came back today and it showed negative. 1 out of 800 which I hope is good. I was really having major anxiety because my stage 2 utlrasound last week showed a focus spot on the baby's heart and they told me it could be Downs Syndrome. Hopefully when I go in next month for the follow up ultrasound, they will tell me that the spot is gone.
Todays blood results gave me a little piece of mind. (even though those stupid tests aren't always accurate.)
It's so awful to have to worry about our unborn babies health.
Today was a day for me to be thankful.

I feel good bc I am soooo excited to meet my son in July :-) I am also blessed to have such a wonderful husband who is going to be the best daddy ever :-)
