My partner and I have been TTC for a few months now. For us, (because my partner is a woman), insurance will not cover the actual IUI or the ultrasounds, blood work, etc. associated with the IUI because they say it is not a 'Necessity". I have no known fertility problems, just a lack of "sperm" so to speak..

We have been putting it all on a credit card. The only credit card we own, which we got specifically for this purpose. About $2,000 a try. We are on our 2nd try now.

Just wondering how everyone else is paying for their TTC costs!

Rene, sorry to hear about your insurance, that stinks! We live in MA and thankfully infertility treatments are covered 100%. The only thing I had to pay for was a co-pay, I think $5 or $10 per visit.

I have Blue Cross Blue Shield , and I just found out on 12/23 that I am pregnant. This was my 2nd IUI. The pregnancy is covered......
