Hi everyone. My wife noticed some spotting today and has noticed painless spotting with a pinkish color. She saw the doctor who gave her an exam and said her cervix was closed which was a good sign and her uterus looked round and long which was also a good sign. We are hoping it passes. She hasn't felt any cramping. We would be greatful for anyone to share thier experience with this. Thanks and good luck to everyone.

I had some brown spotting with my last pregnancy. I had a healthy full term baby. Many women have bleeding and spotting and everything turns out fine. If it is blood red and soaks a pad it is usually not good. I would ask them to do an u/s to help your wife see if the baby is okay.

Paul, It's totally normal, I had spotting at various times throughout my pregnacy. It can be scary, but as long as the littel hearbeat is going strong, not to worry. She should have a scan, just to make sure things are progressing, but I'm sure it's nothing.

Thansk Carly67 and happygal. It actually stopped for two times she went to the washroom and then she had some pink and brown spotting . It wasn't very much and was not red at all in color. She hasn't felt any pain but she has noticed her breasts aren't as sore as before. We appreciate your feedback very much and can't wait for the u/s next week. Thanks agian and good luck in the new year.

I had pink spotting (just when I wiped) at 6 weeks, 8 weeks and 11 weeks, and now I've got a beautiful, healthy baby boy. Spotting can be caused by a number of things - very commonly just irritation of the cervix - but it's good that you contacted the doctor about it. Best of luck!
