Hi my name is Heidi. I am married to a gorgeous husband now for two and a half years. I will be forty in six months and we are dying to have a baby of our own. It will be my first. But I am scared, because the doctors is not so positive about it because of my age and also all the stories and rumours that goes around. What would you say? Doctors comments welcome. So my question really is to all those mommys out there over 35: What do you think?

Hi Heidi, I'm am 39 and will be 40 in August. I've been ttc #3 for 3 years and have finally been blessed to make it to the second trimester. It was a long hard road but well worth it. So my personal opinion is to go for it! My Dr says at 39 I'm still young. He sees women much older still ttc. Best of everything to you and your "gorgeous" DH!

go for it and don't stop trying! We've been trying for about 6 years, had two miscarriages, lots of testing and just when we'd given up - wammo! I am 42 my husband 36. Not my first baby, but it is for him. I am on prometrium, and all is going Super! AND yes, I've had docs tell me that with my age it is almost improbable...how humiliating for me! But I'm a young 42 (I think) and I wasn't about to take that for an answer. After all, they are not God....So my advise, Go For It. Best of Luck, Michelle
