Hi, so glad you're all here! I'll be 39 soon and this is my first pregnancy (only 4+weeks) along. Fatigue hit me hard one day then barely there the next. is this normal/common. Just a little nervous.

Hi Jen--I am 36 year old, and 4 1/2 weeks too! I think it is pretty common to have symptoms fade and then come back again. I know it is nervewracking though. I had a m/c in Dec. 04, so I am extra nervous about this one. I have had fatigue and nausea beginning at 8 dpo! But that too, has come and gone . . . very tired today!

thanks for writing! so sorry about m/c. This pregnancy was not planned but a Very welcome surprise. I was aware of but still surprised at how soon the symptoms started and how strong the fatigue is. And talk about emotional! nausea, not so much yet. Hope you're getting some good naps:-)

I wish I could take a nap! Don't think it would go over too well at work :). Congratulations to you! When do you see your ob? I am not scheduled to be seen until 8 weeks (which seems like an eternity from today). I have calculated my due date: Feb 9. How about you? I guess you due right around the same time?

I've been frantically and discretely trying to find who's good in my area. I think I've narrowed it down so I should make an appt.soon. Due date calculated to 2/10/06. Wow! Congratulations to you too!

Good luck with finding ob. I am finding my symptoms seem to come and go. Feel a lot less fatigued today, which makes me nervous, but, It must be normal!

just made my appt. 7/1. I know what you mean, for a moment it's great to feel great then the next second you miss the reassurance of the symptoms. my fatigue was strong and all day on sun., then nothing until late in the afternoon mon(and mild)., today constant but mild so far all day. No real nausea, just a little light headed. Enjoy your energy today!

Fatigue can be a very normal and expected part of pregnancy, especially in the first trimester as your body is adjusting to the changes. The healthiest thing to do when fatigue sets in is not to fight with it. Let the housework go, let someone else fix dinner etc, and REST or sleep. As you go into the 2nd trimester things will likely level out.
