I am exactly 9 weeks pregnant today and my doc could not find a hearrt beat thru a doppler. Is that too early? I am worried. Can anyone tell me when is the earliest you find a heart beat thru a doppler

I bought a doppler monitor for my wife and we couldn't detect the heartbeat until week 12, so I wouldn't worry too much. Even then it took a while to find it, the doppler itself needed to be pointing exactly the right way.

As with all these things it does vary but the dopplers I looked at before buying suggested using from week 10-12.

Hope this helps

Steve

My doctor uses a doppler at 11 weeks, and said that in many cases, he still can't pick up a heartbeat then. I would try not to worry too much..(easier said than done, I know). Could you have an u/s to help reassure you?
