I heard the same also.

My Dr said this, when you hear the heartbeat via u/s and by doppler it goes down. But it drastically goes down once you're in your second trimester which would offically be the start of your 13th week. I had the same concerns and this is what my Dr., NP and u/s guy all said. Good luck to you.
