Hi, askchik, I'm from Perth! Not too far, we holiday down south often - soooo beautiful. I too have been noticing that everyone is from the USA basically, but very interesting to find out how they do things there and how different the costs and treatments of drs are. I'd never even heard of this 'stripping of membranes' or HCG levels and this is our fourth baby! I'm 14 weeks and have not been a happy chappy. Very different than my other pregnancies and also everything is starting MUCH earlier. I was sick then entire school holidays (DH is a teacher, so his holidays were great (NOT)), but it was perfect timing otherwise the children would have been ward of the state. Yeah, we went to the USA a coupl of weeks afetr we were married for six months then travelled around, and also over east of Oz, so once the children came along, very soon afterwards, we only get down south really. Haven't been to Rottnest though - how embarassing! I'm29 years old, just, and due on the 22nd August. :) |

I have to wait another 5 weeks...:( until the 19th week. I was asked at my first dr appt if I wanted to have the ultrasound that detected downsyndrome, but figured it didn't matter to me anyway. One of my younger brothers has DS, and I wouldn't terminate even if the baby did have anything. Apart from low blood pressure, and being sick off and on, my little girl goes to kindy two full days this year, so I make the most of it then and will myself to be sick only on those days! The things we have to do...lol. |

Hi other aussie girls. I am living in Esperance WA, was in Perth previously and originally a Melbourne girl! I am 16 1/2 weeks with number 3. All going well except much bigger this time round, and was sick early on too, but heaps better now. I think I have only put on a couple of kilos, but truth will be told after my dr appt on wed! My oldest is in full time school this year which is bliss! And we are not going to find out what we are having. Didnt with my two boys, and I really will be happy with either sex this time (too late to change it now!!!) Also, I think I wouldnt really believe the results until the baby was born, so I figure I may as well wait. Hope everyone else is well. |
