Hi guys ive been having a really hard time with my hormones and feeling quite low, is it common to feel down abut the experience of pregnancy, cs i really dont see how they say enjoy it! Any comforting words would come in handy as i dont have many friends here in cyprus and can feel quite isolated

Hi Tooky, Not sure how you are going now, but I hope that you are feeling a bit better. I think that the hormone and body changes do huge things to us. I have people all the time telling me to 'enjoy your pregnancy'. My husband is also worried that I don't seem to be 'enjoying' it. To tell you the truth, I am blown away with a little baby inside and what that is going to bring. However, I am uncomfortable, sore hips and back have made sleeping more restless, I get really really tired and grumpy which I don't cope with and I am often nauseas. So in all, I don't feel like I am really 'enjoying' the feeling of being pregnant. I think that it is so normal to feel down - and up and down 101 times over the pregnancy period. I hope you are not worrying about it too much. Take time out to do really special things for yourself and I am also trying to find time to really concentrate on the really amazing little baby that I have inside me rather than the way that it is making me 'superficially' feel... if that makes sense. Take care of yourself.
