Has anyone else experienced brownish spotting? I am almost 13 weeks. Ultrasound was great on Wed. but spotting has come & gone. Thanks!

I had some spotting on and off all through my first pregnancy. Ds is fourteen months old now and a smart healthy little boy. As long as the spotting isn't red it's ok.

I had spotting at 10 and 13 weeks...it is fine per my dr. This is our first, so everything made me nervous. I am now 24 weeks, and feeling great! If your u/s went well, you should be fine. I called my dr just to be sure when I had it, so it might put your mind at ease! Congrats and good luck!

If it was an internal u/s, then that could be the reason for the spotting. My dr said that many women spot after this type of u/s and its normal and ok!

I have not had any more. Thanks for responding. It is so good to hear that it has happened to others and everything is fine.

To let you know, I experienced some brown spotting, nothing too big but just enough that when I wipped myself from after going to the bathroom I felt freaked out. It happend for like 4 days. I was worried cause I had strained muself doing some heavy lifting, so I went to the emergency hospital and they checked me out and checked the baby's heart beat and everything was fine. I consulted with my OBGYN and she says it can be very normal and that it could have been old blood passing. She told me if it happens to be RED blood then to go get checked right away. Hope this helps...
