I spoke to my lovley midwife yesterday and she confirmed there is no problem if you wish to paint your nails. Paint away!!

I really don't think it's that bad but I've chosen not to wear if anyway, just to be as safe as possible. If you've already painted your nails don't worry! You haven't hurt your baby. If you don't feel good about it then just don't do it again.
Incidentally, I find that I don't need nail polish right now because the pregnancy hormones are making my nails grow beautifully! They look long and strong.
