Fibroid Tumor On Uterus

I am 17 weeks and after being sent for an ultrasound, was just diagnosed with a 4cm fibroid on my uterus. I have been having abdominal pain in the area where the fibroid is. The doctor told me all I can do right now is take Aleve to relieve the pain when needed. They are going to monitor it. Does anyone else have a similar problem..I wonder if this will affect my labor or cause the need for C-sec.

hi janet i have the same problem in fact i have three fibroids in my uterus and am in quite a bit of pain just started for me in week 16 and i am no goin ginto week 17- went to see doc and was told all is fine but hen after that 2 days later i passed a small blot clot and it sent me straightinto the panic zone-i am scheduled for amnio on monday 10/4 called my doc and told him what happened-i wanted to run to er he told me wait unitl monday to see what is going on he feels it is all probably related to fibroid-will keep you posted i currently take tylenol prn and he recommended hot packs where i cramp-will let you know-i am a worry wart at this point 42 third child-youngest is 18 older is 22-what am i doing lol
