I'm due to have my first internal examination in two weeks time and my husband wants to be there when I have the exam. I have a male doctor but it's not that my husband doesn't trust him, he just wants to be there with me. Do other husbands watch the exam? Is it normal? I'm happy for him to be there, but will my doctor think it weird? I'd like to hear from you if your hubbies have been there with you.

my hubby thinks it's completely normal. he prefers to be there cause it's he is interested as well, as to what's going on with your body, what exams are being taken, what are they for , etc., your doctor shouldn't be weird out he's there with you. my nurse even asked me to invite my hubby in when i went for my exam.
plus, you will feel more relaxed when he's there by your side, holding your hand. not as stressful.

Thanks, that's reassuring. Just thought the doc might think it strange that my hubby would want to watch him examining my boobs and putting his fingers inside me !!
