I am currently 19 weeks pregnant, and weigh about 190, 5'4. I was heavy when I became pregnant, and have actually lost 26 pounds so far. I have several co workers that are in the same stage in pregnancy as I am, however, they are noticibly pregnant, and I am not. I'm continuing to shrink, which though I am not complaining, keeps me kind of worried. I can slightly feel the baby moving, but I can't feel anything from the outside yet. The doctor says everything is normal and the baby is healthy so far, so I shouldn't worry. I guess my question is, is it possible that I could actually go the full 9 months and NEVER look pregnant, or is a huge belly just going to pop up and surprise me one day? Because oddly enough, I'm looking forward to the baby belly.

Most people "pop" eventually, and it's totally individual to you and the baby when that happens. I started showing before I was even 3 months pregnant (and I know it wasn't just putting on weight, because my thighs and hips stayed the same, and my biceps actually got smaller!)... I've had friends who didn't show until after the 5 month mark... As long as the Dr says everything's OK with the baby, and you're getting all your nutritional requirements, there's nothing to worry about.

Sometimes heavy women will not get as rounded but you will eventually look pregnant just maybe not as rounded out.

I'm very petitie, and I'm 22 weeks and just now starting to show more obviously, but I still haven't 'popped'. This is my first though, but I know that women who are heavier-set sometimes do not show until later, and aren't going to have that basketball in the tummy look, but you will look pregnant sooner or later! =)

It really depends how you carry. I am very heavy set. I am 5'5, and was 200lbs prepregnancy, but I carry all my weight in the butt and thighs, not at all from the belly up. People think I am having twins because I "popped" at around week 16. (second child) I am down 12lbs total, but the belly is huge.
