amybaby i live off route 26 libertytown rd. when route 26 meets rout 194.
I remember you saying that you live in PA.
So i don't know if you use route 15 to get to eldersburg. If so, you will pass route 194 that is the one that i take to get home.

zay28 - November 1st, 2006 11:46 AM

I doubt that we would ever use a doula. I never even knew what one was until I went to my yoga class and heard people saying that they were using this lady that I actually know. I became intrigue at that point in findiing out more. $400 is too much. Actually I think she might even charge more than that. The way I look at it is that $400 is two plane tickets to see my inlaws.

I also have the support of my family and friends and my husband will be holding my hand the whole time so I will be fine.

Gretta - November 1st, 2006 12:28 PM

I heard the nurses do a really good job of coaching you along too so you probably wouldn't need a doula.

iemc- my girls are 8,4and half and 2. my boy is 6. so the 8 and 4 are together and the boy is with the baby. like i said, here in israel everybody shares rooms, it's not weird for them because they've never seen a friend in her own room. i just don't know how to set things up now with 2 more onthe way. besides that, my back is killling me! for a few days now. ugh, i took a hot shower , that didn't work, i don't really lift heavy things except my 2 year old, i want to stretch out on my stomache and stretch my whole back, but i can't really do that anymore! sonrisa- yeah, my legs also bother me. they feel really heavy. and i feel like i have to faint when i go up stairs. oh, the joys of pregnany! and we still have SUCH a long time to go. ugh.,it just gets worse girls! at least we have each other to complain to!

Gretta - November 1st, 2006 12:37 PM

See I was thinking the same thing - I am still small right now so how and I going to feel in 3 months? If I already and achy and out of breath now?

amybaby2 - November 1st, 2006 12:56 PM

i did a little research on doulas..and the difference b/t them and nurses, is the doula is there to follow your birth plan. you discuss things you want to do, and even when you are in pain and saying things you want to change the doula wants to make sure you follow the birthplan as close as posible. the nurse on the other hand isnt going to sit and talk with you and discuss what you want. she can only go on the decisions you make once you are in the delivery room...
