Nail Polish?

I'm 24 weeks and I was wondering if anyone knows if it is safe to wear nail polish? I've been told many conflicting things from waiting until the second trimester to it is perfectly fine to wear it and then yet I have been told by others that absolutely it is not safe because it could get into your blood through your skin. My OB seems to think it's fine as long as I don't drink it : ) Any opinions?

ya, i dont think that the nailpolish is any risk...maybe in a salon with the fumes, but honestly even then especially outside the first trimester i would think it would have to be pretty excessive with no ventilation...i have gone to get a mani/pedi a few weeks ago and found no problems
