Question About Baby's First Kicks

Hi, I'm 18 weeks, 5 days and have been feeling fluttering for two weeks. Yesterday evening and this morning I felt proper kicks for the first time. I always imagined the baby would kick outwards, but instead I felt it deep inside my belly. It was like 4-5 really strong pokes against my organs... When I put my hand on my stomach I could feel a little wiggling going on but the kicking was much deeper inside me. Is that just because of the position the baby was in? Do you think it def. was kicking I felt (can't really see what else it could be as I have never felt anything like it) Sometimes I also feel like there's a waterbaloon in there which suddenly turns, do you think that could be the baby changing position?? All feedback is greatly appreciated xxx

P:S: I forgot to ask: When you started feeling proper kicks did you feel them every day from then on? Once or several times a day? Or where there sometimes a day or two without anything but fluttering?? Thanks xxx

Hi M.B., I will start my 20th week tomorrow. Sometimes the kicks do feel deep inside other times I can feel them if I put my hand on my tummy. Yesterday morning I was sitting on the couch and all of the sudden I felt the weirdest thing-it must have been the baby turning or changing positions, it was incredible. I started feeling "proper" kicks at 18 weeks but dont feel them all the time yet. Sometimes just a couple of times a day. Also baby will kick several times in the same spot an I will get so excited and call my husband over to feel and the little stinker wont do it again! Hopefully soon it will be more regular.
