13wks is still early to be showing no matter your size... but yes, I would imagine it would take quite a bit longer for a plus sized woman. I've known some bigger women that I never even knew were pregnant til I saw them walking around with their baby.

Yeah, my sister never started showing until she was about 8 1/2 weeks. We always knew she was pregnant just because of the way she walked (she never really cared to tell anyone she was pregnant until a few weeks before delivery) but we always knew she was pregnant. And I have seen the same as January...one day they look the same, then a week later they are holding a baby. But 13w is early for most woman.

Nerdy_Girl, did you mean she didn't start showing til she was 8 1/2mo.? It's impossible to show at 8 1/2wks as the baby hasn't risen above the pubic bone yet.

Yes, I've heard it takes longer to show for plus sized women, and if it's your first, longer yet.

Well, I'm about averaged size and at almost twenty weeks, you still can't tell I'm pregnant. If I wore tighter clothing, maybe.. but my t-shirts hide it. I would think it would take longer, though.

I'm pregnant with my 2nd and I'm currently almost 15 weeks, but I have been showing with this one since about 8 weeks. With my ds I didn't show until I was around 15 weeks.
