can I take tylenol pm while being pregnant

katie - March 12th, 2005 9:27 PM

I am 21 weeks and have had lots of problems, none pregnancy related. I have had kidney stones, sinus infection, food poisoning, and bronchitis. I have had tylenol, demerol, phenergan, robitussin, and many antibiotics, oh yeah, and morphine. The doctors tell me my baby is fine. So I don't think a little tylenol is gonna hurt.

Hi I have a sleeping disorder and I take sleeping pills everyday! I think I may be 17 weeks pregnant and really stressed out now. I am going to go to the doctor this week, they arent open this weekend. but I am really worried! And now this stress isnt helping either. oh and I also smoke. what am I going to do?! Will I be okay? If I am pregnant is my child going to be okay? I am so stressed.

I am 3 months pregnant and want to know if I can take extra strenght tylenol?

cheryl - March 18th, 2005 12:53 AM

hi, i am in my 34th week of pregnancy and i take excedrin tension headache (tylenol & caffein) for mild to moderate headaches. my OB has also prescibed me fieorcet which treats mild to moderate migrains of which i began having after a car accident when i was only 9 weeks along. ladies everyones physical and chemical anatomy is different in taking OTC meds. but i can assure you that i am one who asks a million questions before i take anything. tylenol, benedryl, tylenol PM, are all ok to take during pregnancy as long as the do not have asprin in them. as for you ladies out there concerned about sinus medication if you have a history of high blood pressure during you pregnancy i would not suggest taking sudefed or anything of that nature due to the fact that it will cause your BP to raise which is not good for you or baby. please note not one of us is the same and if you still have any concerns please consult your OBGYN/familey doctor. i wish you all luck in you new arrivals .

Is taking tylenol 3 or 4 times a week for bad headaches safe?

Stacy - April 3rd, 2005 7:24 PM

It is safe to take tylenol regular or extra strength. My doctor also told me it was ok to take ibprofen. I'm a little worried though because I have a cold and my doctor gave me a paper stating what's okay for me to take during my pregnancy. It said it's ok to take afrin nasal spray. I've tooken it but i'm a little worried. Is there anyone who has taken that while they were pregnant?

is nyquil okay to take during pregnancy

Diane - April 11th, 2005 4:39 PM

I have the flu and took tylenol because my fever kept reaching 101 degrees farenheit. It was the only way to reduce the fever. High fever is dangerous for my baby 3 medical professionals told me that this was O.K., but to not overdo it.
