Hello Ladies! I have to apologize for my long unexplained absence. It started with me moving across the country (from Halifax to Vancouver, about as far as it gets), and not having Internet or my computer for quite a while. Then I was so far behind in my work that I missed without my computer that that is all I have done since I got out here...I'm so sorry to have just dropped off the map, but sometimes I find this forum too addicting, and you can come in here, and before you know it you've spent an hour just trying to catch up on all the messages. Anyways, I've spent the past couple days getting caught up on the last few threads in the first trimester and the first one in the second trimester, and I can't resist jumping back in. I'm so excited for everyone! You all look so beautiful in your pictures! I can't wait to have a page up there. I'm meeting my midwives for the first time today, and Im' really excited. Hopefully I'll be having my ultrasound soon. In BC, a lot of the hospitals have 3D ultrasounds now, and they're covered by insurance, so I'm praying I get that one. Otherwise, there is a private company here that does it too!! Congratulations to everyone who already knows the sex. I am really excited for you. Have a great day everyone!!

hey sophie it is so nice to see my fellow canadain back among us. you are lucky that they cover 3d u/s out there here in ontario they don"t you have to pay 160 bucks for them

i forgot to mention my ob appt went well she siad i won"t get another u/s untill around 32 - 34 weeks probably so i have decided to join the team yellow because if i have to wait that long i can wait untill d day to find out

Hello ladies.... I know it has been a long time but computer was messed up and I sent it out to be fixed just got it back today. Anyways I had my u/s yesterday morning I am 20 weeks now and we are having a baby boy. Just wanted to let you know and now I must go back and read what has been going on.

Congrats!! Ok, I lost track already, I think that is 3 boys 1 girl and 2 yellow teams! I am really tired, my OB called and told me to buy a blood pressure machine to keep track of my bp in the AM at bed and when I get home from work. I asked why and she said it was elevated the last two times. I just started laughing. I realize that is not the best way to handle a stressful situation, but first I had the bleeding, then the tear in the placenta, then bed rest, then the lump in my armpit and now this. I just thought it was funny. But God never gives us more then we can handle and all I want is a healthy baby and all this will be in the past. I joked with my husband before we got prego that I just wanted a nice healthy pregnancy. I was only 20 with our son 11 years ago, and I don't think I enjoyed much trying to hide it to get married and all. So anyway, maybe Gog wants me to have another after this. HA HA HA, I don't think so. But you never know what is in store. I booked our vacation for November today, we are going to Disney World for Thanksgiving. I am really excited. I was however smart enough to get insurance just in case. My DH also said we should consider Hawaii in a year from this summer when our son is 12 and the baby is 1. We have enough miles to cover the entire trip in airfare and all we would need is hotel. So anyway, I know it seems so far away, but I LOVE planning vacations!!!! Ok, got to get to bed. I am one tired cookie. The last two nights I have been out till 11 pm or later. First it was a charity volunteer commitment, then last night I had BUNKO. I know my grandma plays bunko, but I love it and I won $30 so who can complain :) Welcome back Sophie I too took a leave of absence after my bed rest, on accident just got so busy being freed from bed. LOL. OK realy going to bed now.

Ladies, I FINALLY added my site to the piczo site. YEAH, don't ask me why this was so complicated for me. I have no idea. But none the less. I added a bunch.

Actually, we have three on team yellow, including javidsgirl. Maybe thats stats that we should add on the site. hah! Cross your fingers for me. I have a ride to my appointment tomorrow (BF got called in to work AGAIN because someone quit) so we'll see what happens. More stress, more drama. BF is in a bad mood and not being very kind to me or considerate in regards to whats been going on (just told him about it today). So, forgive me for not being my Chatty self. I'll update you all when I can probably tomorrow afternoonish.

Thanks everyone, I'm so happy to be back here! I had my appointment with the midwives today, it was excellect. I heard the baby's heartbeat for the first time and it was 150 so that was exciting. Unfortunately, my partner is in Africa right now (actually right now he is flying to Amsterdam) so he didn't get to hear it, but he's coming back tomorrow which is great for me!! They said everything seems really good and normal and we're going to schedule my ultrasound for about 2 weeks from now, but they said the first one will not be 3D most likely....they say that the 3D one is best after 26 weeks because they don't really have a lot of facial features right now, God is still sorting out that aspect, I guess. Anyway, hopefully everything will be good at the ultrasound! KIMBERLY - I am 17 weeks now and I'm due August 24. This is my first baby and I'm not sure what I'm hoping for, though I had a dream that I found out it was a girl, and in the dream I was really upset about it, so maybe subconsciously I would like a boy...but who knows!! TANYA - I think the coverage for the 3Ds just came into effect in the past year or less. My friend has a 6 month old, and she said her's was a 3D...but I only saw it in the paper about a month ago that it was going to be covered. It still seems pretty new out here, but I found somewhere on vancouver island that has a special on for $99, so I'll probably d o that if I have to, but not for a couple months....JEN - your page is so nice. Your house looks like it's right out of a fairy tale. It's lovely!!

Go team yellow! I think that's 3 of us now... me, Kathy, and now Tanya. We're gonna make it girls! Congrats to everyone that does know the sex! Unless I accidently see the parts on Monday, I'm hoping to stay team yellow.

to the girls on team yellow: what kind of clothes are you buying? I thought it would be fun to try to wait, but I know if I had a girl, I'd want her in pink with a very girly nursery, so thats the only thing thats holding me back, lol

I am sorry to hear that you have one more problem, but your attitude is great and you are so right that God only gives you what you can handle. I think that I would be nuts without mine. MORGAN I so understand the little girl thing... I was so glad to know that my first was a girl and I was able to make things girly for her... she is definitely a girly girl. I can't even get her to wear a pair of pants anymore. LOL. TANYA sorry to hear that you have to wait until then to have another u/s. I know that you were so excited to know... I guess that you are right though... if you wait that long you may as well wait a few more weeks. You may change you mind by then too though.

i am only buying a few untill the baby gets here becuase my sister told me that if you buy to many before the baby gets here he/she will grow out them faster then you can put them on so after the baby is born we will go on a shooping spree but my sister also wants to do a baby shower after the baby is born so i know that i will gets of clothes then to so i am not worried i will have lots of time to buy gender specific clothes when my babe gets here

kelly i am not sure if i will change my i figured if i have to wait that long i should just wait untill the big day after what a few more weeks i mean i would have waited 30 - 34 weeks by then what another 4 right
