Hi everybody my name is Kellie I'm 36 and I'm 7wks5d pregnant with our first child. I just wanted to know if any of you have ever heard of Inflammatory Breast Cancer. The reason I'm asking is because I was just diagnosed with it. I want you to know what to look for especially now that so many of us are preganant and our breast are changing. This type of cancer is one of the most deadliest forms and is almost always misdiagnosed as a breast infection. Also, it is also more common in older women (say 50). I've done a lot of research and have found women who just had babies and had symptoms that their Dr's told them was probably a breast infection from nursing, they gave them antibiotics and sent them home only for these women to come back with no changes to their breast. That is why this is so deadly, because it can spread pretty fast and it can be months before a Dr. realizes that the antibiotics he's been putting you on has not be working. This is a deadly form of breast cancer, YOU WILL NOT FEEL A LUMP, the breast becomes very sore, red and hot to the touch. The skin might look like an orange peel. If you think you might have this the only way to know for sure is to have a biopsy. An ultra sound nor a mammogram will not detect this cancer.I had to beg my Dr. to do a biopsy because he said women my age don't get this type of cancer. Please type in Inflammatory Breast Cancer in your search engine to read more. It really pisses me off that we have all been told to check our breasts on a monthly basis and to look for a lump, only to find out that the most deadliest form of breast cancer has no lump. Thank you for listening and God Bless.
