Bleeding After Sex

Usually it hurts when dh and i have sex, and i really seem to have NO sex drive what so ever.. no matter what. It sucks but i dont have any desire- so i dont care but it makes it hard because he still does. Usually it hurts also, and then tonight after we have sex i am bleeding bright red. Is that normal? I wish he could understand. He is always giving me a hard time saying that I am a wuss about everything.... so i dont even want to tell him even though i do- and get no sympathy or concern from him ever. Agh... i really hate men right now... and their damn need for sex and sexual satisfaction 2 or more times a day.... anyway i am bleeding and cramping quite a bit now... i guess i will ask about it tomorrow...

Hi Charee. Maybe u should call ur doctor? I don't know, since I've gotten pregnant, I don't want to do it either but my husband is very understanding though. I tried one time a couple weeks ago and it hurt a lot. If ur cramping and also bleeding, call ur OB. I read also that it could be normal to bleed after sex during pregnancy. Not sure about the cramping though. Take care

I know light spotting and a small amout of bleeding can be normal after sex, but bright red bleeding with cramps is not always a good sign. Call your Dr. and explain this to him/her. I would be worried about any bright red bleeding. Any spotting or bleeding should always be sought out by a Dr. during pregnancy. I hope you get checked out! Good luck and let us know.

Yep call doctor, you didn't say how far along you were. I know during first trimester I'd get light bleeding and cramping (which is actuallly uterine contractions from orgasm) for like an hour after, but doc said calling was the right thing to do.

16 weeks- i just went to my prenantal apt this morning! They said is wasnt "fine" OR "normal" but that it basically is- and they dont do anything about it if its just a little bleeding after sex.... probably irritated the cervix or something. I never bled at all with my first pregnancy- even when i had a pap... but i havent ever bled a lot... just a little. THanks girls!

i bled bright red every time we had sex for the first 15 weeks or so....now i refuse to have sex....lol..... my docs said it was completely normal because the cervix and vaginal walls are highly sensitive and engorged with blood vessels during pregnancy.

How far along are you? I have that problem, but it starts during sex, not after. Bright red. My cervix and vaginal tissue is really sensitive my doctor said. This happened at 11 weeks and I tried again, not so "thrusty" at 15 weeks and it was okay. Tell your husband if he wants it to be gentle with you. I've only had sex 3 times since the bleeding thing... My boyfriend just masturbates a lot I guess. You have to protect your baby! I'm assuming my sex drive should return at some point, but the bleeding is always a warning sign so be careful!
