Goldfish - in the past we had to fast after I think midnight or 9pm.....but now they don't make you fast at all they just ask you not to eat anything too full of sugar before your test..Call your doctor first thing if you aren't sure each doctor is different

Depending on your appt this may be getting to you too late, but cors1wfe is right, you shouldn't have to fast. My doc gave me a sheet to read before my test. All it basically said was not to eat foods high in sugar prior to (like sweetened cereal, oatmeal, or burger on a bun w/ fries). They test to see how well you metabolize sugar and your results will be off if you eat a lot of sugar beforehand. Good luck!
