sam, if you are experiencing blurred vision along with the headaches, then I would definitely call your dr. However, the headaches themselves could be nothing more than hormones. How far along are you? I had horrible headaches with my last preganancy. It was the first time I had ever experienced it (third child) and my dr. sent me to a neurologist. Everything was fine. They lasted until about 14-15 weeks and then just went away. My dr. warned me that they may come back again with this one (am now 16w4d) and they haven't come back. But, in any case if you they are putting a lot of worry on you, call your dr. so you feel better. God Bless!

Sam...I am 13 weeks with my second child. I am also experiencing frequent headaches. Unlike my first pregnancy, this one is very different. I am currently having difficulties with high blood pressure which is requiring frequent dr's visits. (weekly right now). Never hurts to ask your ob to be on the safe side. Best wishes!

I agree with Beth.. I am 16 weeks and from about week 12 started with daily headaches. Turns out my blood pressure was high. headaches tend to be the most common sign of high blood pressure and sometimes the only sign. You blood pressure has to be really high to experience the blurred vision and other signs usually. But headaches can start with just a slightly elevated blood pressure. Bring this to your doctor's attention.

I've had migraines throughout my pregnancy. I've developed pre-eclampsia, but I had the migraines for three months before the pre-eclampsia. I saw black spots, had nausea and vomiting and my headaches would last at least a day and a half. If your headaches are severe and not related to your blood pressure, there are medications your doctor can give you.

It could also be from low blood pressure, not just high. I suffer from that and last time I had a very bad migraine my pressure was 85/55, but could also just be hormones...hopefully you'll feel better soon!
