well short period usualy indicate a thin lining which can be normal after having a D&C it took almost 5 months after my D&C in 2004 for my lining to return to normal thickness.i would resommend taking Black cohosh and vitamin E they will help with that and even drinking red raspberry tea or taking the supplement can help with that to. as for the soy i would work on taking these supplements for a couple months so that your uterus can increase it thickness and the red raspberry when taken for 2 or months can tone and streaghten your uterus preventing m/c by more than 20 % and keep on with those fish oil supplemment to as that will also decrease the likelyhood of m/c to and it is great for the baby when you do concieve i have taken before i got pg and still do and when i went for my 18 weeks u/s 2 weeks ago the tech said my baby had a amazing cardio system. other than that i am doing well getting huge for one thing lol.my Bp has been a pain in the arse my liver enzymes have been steady so that is good there, anyways keep in touch |

Thanks so much!!! I didn't have a d&c, I actually miscarried naturally, but I basically hemorraged--I mean gushing and it was all done in like a day (the main part with lighter bleeding for a few more days). Now I do take vitamin E daily, but I don't know anything about black cohosh or red raspberry really. When should I take the red raspberry supplements (that would be easier for me than drinking the tea--is one better than the other?) Sorry, my brain is going faster than my typing....basically how much black cohosh and red raspberry should I take daily and when should I take it? Like should I take before O and not after , etc. I don't want to take anything in the tww that might interrupt/hurt implantation etc... |

Red Raspberry Leaf - You may take this herb during the entire cycle as it strengthens the uterine lining atleast untill you have a confirmed pregnancy. black cohosh You may take this herb in the first half of your cycle from menstruation to ovulation.it bascialy balances those hormones so your body can naturaly fix itself and helps your body produce enough hormones to thicken the uterus which is of course the best benefit. as always just follow the dosing instruction on the bottle unless instructed otherwise by a naturalpath but mine told me just to follow the instruction on the bottle . that is great you are already taking the vitamin E but remember once you have a confirmed pregnancy you will have enough vit e in the prenatal |

Hi stephkay, |

Thank you again! I'm so glad to hear your baby is doing well!!! Yes, I plan on only taking the prenatal, baby aspirin and extra folic, B6, B12 and fish oil after confirmed pregnancy (ONLY??? ha ha ok, it's a lot) but I'll not take the extra E. I am also taking calcium supplements because I try to avoid dairy stuff. Suze, my obgyn is a RE, but she isn't the most congenial person and hasn't been a ton of help in all this. The perinatologist who confirmed my miscarriage (I only got to see her that one time as it was my first appt. and obviously my last) was really nice and was the one who actually ordered all the testing. I can't go back to her unless I get pg again so I was sent back to the obgyn. She's the only RE in town as far as I know so I don't know if I should try another dr. or not. I just wasn't pleased with her after she cancelled my last two tests and referred me to a RE hours away without much explanation as to why.... |

suze i don"t think she want s to go that route being that she want to do au nautral. but i can tell you what a fertility doc when give they would give you provera to lengthen you menstral cycle and put you on B/C to thicken your lining i can praticlay gaurentee that i have been there done that so many times lol. i say au natural is ten times better i went that waywith pregnancy and this is my first successful pregnancy so i think there is something to it |

ha! it's ok, not too many typos :-) Yeah, I dont want to be taking birth control!!! I'm not sure what it does to build up the lining but it sure won't help me to get pregnant...lol! The problem is the dr. wants to send me to a fertility specialist out of town and I just don't "feel" like getting pregnant is the issue. It is finding out why I'm not keeping them. Maybe the lining is the issue, who knows. But I'm gonna try these herbs first and see how that goes. Tanya, so if I get a bfp, I stop the red raspberry leaf then? Just trying to get this all straight. I take so many vitamins right now, but no herbs and it's enough to keep track of those things. Wish me luck!!! :-) |

well to answer your question about what the birth control does for the lining it provides a high enough dose of hormones artifical ones of course to the natural ones your body naturaly produces to thicken you lining. it could very well be why your pregnancies are succesful but i really can't say. but i do know 95% of the time when you have short periods that is why.and yes you are right about the red raspberry leaf and you will stop the extra E too when you get a bfp |

i almost forgot to mention make sure the fish oil supplement tou are taking is not from a fish liver becuase once you become pregnant you won"t be able to take beciase of the high amount of vit A so make sure it is def pure fish oil not made from fish liver, and i forgot to mention it is a high Progesterone birth control they put you on to correct your lining. one of which i refused to take to that is why my fertility doc gave up on me becuase i refused to do thing his way back then instead i went to night classes at a holistic college and consulted naturalpaths for a solution to my problem and in just a few short months i conceived and this is my first successful pregnancy in two years . so i can't speak highly enough of going the holistic way infact i recommend you looking to holistic classes at a college of holistic medicine near you the course i took i was called holistic medicine and womens health and it was worth every penny becuase i have gained so much knowledge from it |

I know, it sounds very interesting...I talked to someone who seemed to have a lot of knowledge at a health food store here sometime ago and I'm not sure if he was a naturalpath though. He could tell my blood type by looking at me though which freaked me out! ha ha. Dr's are so expensive too, even with insurance. It's hard though because this guy suggested a whole cleanse/detoxifier and then a liver cleanse after that and I asked my GI about it and he said not to do it. I know they will never agree, so I'll just have to pick one or the other and go with it. What do you think of those body detoxifiers (there was a 7 day and 30 day). I was doing some research online last night and was reading about doing either red raspberry leaf and red clover OR chasteberry and red clover (it suggested one of those combinations because it said the red rasp. and chasteberry act like progesterone and the red clover acts like estrogen)....it makes sense, but it sounds like you are to take both from AF to O, so I don't know why you would want the progesterone like herbs taken in the first part of the cycle when estrogen dominates....ahhhh so much to learn! Oh, and I read about black cohosh and of course it scared me online because most sites said NOT to take if pregnant, but I guess that's why you'd take it prior to ovulation? |

Oh, my only other concern is fiddling too much with things...my cycles are very regular and even have been after the m/c...my charts show nice low temps going up to high temps post O, etc. I've just had these 2 short (but not light) periods. |

ok the red clover will thin your uterine lining so that is a no no it it usualy used for ovarian cysts. chasteberry will work on regulating you and fix the lining concern but it has been known to cause the scoots untill your body adjust to it but does work well though but you they usualy recommend you don"t concieve with a 3 month period well using it as well if you use the red clover and red rasperberry to gether they act like a organic b/c which it safe to concieve using them because they regulate you and fix the lining of uterus . yes black cohosh you DON"T TAKE AFTER OVULATION . if you are going use that combo od re rasp/red clov you don't take the black cohosh. as for the detox kits you have to get one that matches you bodies natural ph level and for that i would consult a reflexologist or a naturalpath they will help guide you into that direction. some chiropractors are also naturalpaths they usualy give you a great rate so if you can go that route otherwise a reg naturalpath is not to bad i paid 60 for the consult for the ones i seen and 25 for every visit after that so check it out or like i said you can go the holitic medicine college route and you can usualy get a consult with a senior student that is in thier last year for about 10 - 15 bucks. so there are alots of options there |

oops tyop i meant you should take redclover by itself you can get a red rasp/red clover mixed vitamin so your not getting to much that is a much safer route |
if you can't find the mix vitamin then take equal parts of each mean make sure they are both the same amount of each herb for example you would want a 500mg red clov capsule and a 500 mg red raspberry capsule so that they are equal doses |
