my doc said that i can still sleep on my stomach (i'm almost 15w) and it's totally okay for the baby. the baby is very well protected by the embryo.. but once you get bigger, it's best to sleep on your side because it's helps blood circulation for you and baby.

We all know that they recommend the left side, but if it's still comfortable for you on your stomach, everything I've read said it's not a danger to the baby. If it's working for you know, I'd take advantage of it b/c pretty soon nothing will work!! Good luck

Do it while you can do it. ;) Pretty soon it will feel like you're laying on a basketball. lol. You'll know when you can't!!

Oh yeah - before you know it you'll roll on your tummy and you'll get a mighty big wallop of protest for daring to do it!!! Enjoy while you can!

I'm was a big tummy sleeper before the pg, and I sleep with a huge feather pillow and keep it propped under one hip - that takes all the pressure off my belly (I'm only 20w, so it's not huge yet), but I'm finding I wake up on my side a lot more than I used to anyway. A friend of mine slept on her tummy with the pillows for the majority of her preg and had a healthy little girl. Always good to check in with your doc though...
