My doctor has just told me that because of kidney problems they might have to take my baby early. I am only 22 weeks pregnant. He said they will wait as long as possible. Does anyone know how early the baby can be born and still survive??
Thanks,

Usually 24 weeks and girls do better than boys.
My water broke at 24 weeks, delivered DS at 31 weeks, in hospital 3 mos. He had kidney issues DX'd at 2 wks. of age.
Hang in there. Get a 2nd opinion. Are you seeing a perinatologist and pediatric urologist?

I've read and been told that a baby can survive at 20 weeks. I'm sure this would be very dangerous but seeing as you are further along that might make you feel safer
