Hey there, I am 11 weeks pregnant with my first child. Being fairly young (23), I have several piercings, one of which is a vertical clit- hood ring. I was wondering if this absolutely needs to be removed before I give birth. Thank you!!

I would think it might tear during labor when you are stretched beyond what you are used to? No clue but that is my guess. Ask your OB. You have plenty of time to figure this out.

hey there . well there is a chance it may get torn etc.... i have mine dont and with my first mine was find mine is just above the clit... about an inch above through the skin. so i guess it depends on where you are peirced.. haha i wouldnt take mine out. hell no im not going to get that peirced agian. haha i know exactly where you are comming from. i would say no . unless your ob says it is nesissary i was told that if during labour it needed to come out they could take it out. it would take them a min. litterally. i have never taken mine out or chaned it. i have the same hopp that they put there after it was peirced if you are able to chance yours and stuff... you can have it out during labour if you have to but still have it peirced. good luck... make sure you always keep it clean however. as it does pose a chance of infection......
