Too Much Acid?

I am 36 years old and experiencing a first one. My new partner seems to have problems when we are intimate. Often, when having sex, he claims his penis burns. I wonder if my vaginal fluids are too acidic. Never before did I have a partner expressing this problem. I am also wondering how this could affect my ability to get pregnant or a pregnancy.
