Hi. Was wondering if your temp goes up or down when you are approaching your af. I had a m/c on Feb. 28, so it's now been one month since it happened and I've had discharge for about a week or 2, but was wondering I was going to try charting my temp. Just wasn't sure if your temp goes up or down when getting close to af. And also, if there's a dip in temp when you ovulate? Any info is great!

lanislee, right before you ovulate, your temperature rises. it's important to have a really accurate thermometer (with at least 2 decimal points - like 98.61) becuase it can be a rise of less than a whole degree. then your temp stays high (or higher) until I think either the day before or two days before your period starts. if it doesn't go down, you could be preggo. i'd read up about bbt (basal body temp) - make sure you take it in the morning before you 've gotten out of bed, drank any water, etc. and try to do it at the same time everyday to be most accurate. hope that helps a little! good luck and i'm really sorry about your m/c.... think i'm about to be in that boat myself :(...

before ovulation, your temps are low (97 to 97.5), it may dip slightly on the day of ovulation and then rise to above 98 for the second half of your cycle. if af is due to arrive, your temp may drop again. if you are preggers, your telp will stay up.

Actually your temp goes up after you ovulate. Some people have an ovulation dip, but not all. Also, some people have their temp drop a few days before their period, others it drops the day of, and still others drop a couple of days after. Check out fertilityfriend.com They have sample charts to look at.

usually your temp will drop the day before or the day of af. But then again some women are just different! Sorry couldn't help much!
