Tonia, I have two on the left and two on the right. The ones on the left are supposedly the ones that'll release first due to their size. The ones on the right aren't much smaller than the left though. |

Hey question here, How do you know how big your follicles are and what do they do to you in order to find out? I hope you understand that! Please let me know if you don't and I will try to explain it better. |

Bing Oh I cant tell you how much I love being woke up out of a deep sleep for a early morning quicky, and in the middle of it my Dh stops and looks at me with those loving eyes and says the words I long for the most "maybe we should switch positions into a more conception friendly position? Damn thats sexy!!!!LOL |

Hey SJF - They can tell the size of the follicles by doing a transvaginal ultrasound. Starting on cd 10, I go in every two days until ovulation for the u/s so she can start tracking the growth of the follicles. That way they can make sure you actually do ovulate. It's pretty interesting to see what's happening during your fertile phase. I can tell you exactly how they do the ultrasound but it will definitely be a little tmi!! :) Mg- ROTFL! I agree! That runs right up there with a man holding a baby and vacuuming at the same time on the sexy scale! |

wow, you girls are too funny !!!!!! my dh keeps referring to the bd'ing as "coming up to bat" and he's gotta "show up" tonight. funny b/c he's soooo not into sports (does ballet count as a sport ?) but he chooses sports references. he's a riot. so my follicles are both on the left. one was 17 and th eother 19 so i guess like bing said, we'll just have to relax until we know for sure. bing, when is your next appt. ? mine is tomorrow am. can't wait !!!!!!!! still no ewcm. bing do you have any ewcm ? and cervix is not quite high and open yet and no + opk yet. i'm thinking i'll o sometime on saturday. that would make my follicles at 25 and 23 mm. think that's a good size..... nicole, it's brooke shields who is prego again. and so is courteney cox, brittany spears, and gweneth paltrow. all on #2. plus gwen stefani on #1 and then the obvious katie holmes and angelina. no fair ! i just typed in "pregnant celebreties" in google and got some random site with lots of photos. fun stuff :-) well, hope everyone is well today. anna, how are yoU ? |

Well top of the morning to you all. I hope everyone has a great day! I wish my doctor would go into more detail like checking your follicles, and doing an HSG, and trying an iui. I think it's frustrating that I am just at one stage right now and not doing anything else. I am 25yrs old and my dh is 28. I know were not getting any younger. Does anyone know about how much and HSG or an iui costs? Also does anyone know is your husband has to go with you for your iui? Just wondering! |
||
|
||
|
sjf, i don't know how much the hsg costs but i do know that at my RE, it will cost me $385 for the IUI. that is why we're waiting a month. although it's not super expensive and worth it if we need to do it, we're gonna wait this month and see if we can do it on our own. then we'll pay the $$ if it doesn't work this time around........ my inusrance says they don't cover any infertility, however, i just had an HSG and it was covered. my RE said certain diagnostic things are covered even though on the phone my insurance company said nothing was covered. i would suggest having your doctor submit a proposal to see if they will cover it. maybe you'll get lucky ! |

Things seem to be looking up on our thread finally. It's about time, right??? It seems like all we've had so far is disappointment and we really need someone (no wait all of us!) to get a bfp this month!!! I wish my doctor was going into more depth with the testing. I still feel kinda lost in the whole process. I think my doctor thinks that since we are young and nothing is really wrong with us that it will happen soon using clomid. I guess it's good that he's confident that we won't have any problems but I wish I were that confident! I still have another week to wait until O. And looking at the calendar, my mom is coming to stay with us the weekend that I will be Oing - I told dh that we were going to have to be reallllyyy quiet! |

Hey Anna- I know how you feel about the whole testing thing. I guess my doctor is the same way about only doing one thing at a time b/c we are young. It's sometimes hard to stay positive isn't it? Especially since we all have been trying a while. Dancegirl- thanks for telling me the prices of what you do know I appreciate that. I just pray that we don't even have to go that far. Anna- how old are the two of you, if you don't mind me asking? |

I tell you girls are funny (about the dh thing) lol. you know how men are. Anyway it sounds like some promising follicles that I am hearing about. So maybe you girls will get lucky. I don't have any of those test bieng run on me. I think I am going to stop trying so hard. Know what I mean It is sooooooooooo frustrating. I think I will just try to keep up with my daughter and just pray for another one. maybe praying will work. I believe it will. So I will pray for you all. Good day to you ladies |

SJF - I'm 26 and dh is 25. It really is hard to stay positive - especially after AF shows. I need to get more motivated for this cycle but I'm almost tired of trying. I'm not going to stop trying but I just feel emotionally drained from all of this. Kristina - I looked at that thread too when I saw your name. That was really weird?!?!? |

anna, i know, it really sucks the emotional roller coaster. you know you'll keep trying till you succeed, but it's exhausting every month. you go from being impatient for O, then excited for O, then excited about symptoms and then totally devasted with AF. i just said to my dh on the phone over lunch that it's hard wanting time to pass by quickly b/c you can't wait for O or your appt, or whatever. now i can't wait for tomorrow. then it'll be i can't wait for O. then it'll be i can't wait for the 2 ww to be over. it's so hard to focus at work when all this stuff is running around you head ! but at least we have eachotehr to let loose on and not have to hear, just relax. i just had a friend email that to me this morning. i hate that !!!!!!!!! she has a little boy and got prego in the first month. don't worry anna, our time is coming and we'll think back and this hellish time and be stronger for it. of course then we'll be messes worrying aboutmiscarrying. that'll be the next thing. i can't wait till i just reach 3 months. then 6, etc. yikes it never ends ! |

Kristina - what you wrote is SO true! I totally feel the same way!!! |

Hey girls!!! Just got home from work..ugh, long day! Dancegirl, here's hoping for big follies at your appt. tomorrow!! I noticed the no ewcm thing too this cycle. I think the Clomid has a tendency to dry it up, which makes sense since that's why the dr. wanted to do IUI also. Robitussin definitely helps! I tried it one month and was like, woah!! I haven't gotten a positive opk yet either, which kind of had me worried that maybe I'm going to miss it?!! But the dr. called today and scheduled me to come Saturday at 8 a.m. for the IUI!! She had the fertility pharmacy send over the Ovridrel shot to my house this evening so I can give myself the injection. Apparently it triggers you to ovulate? I am sooooo not looking forward to this. I hate needles! And let me tell you one thing about cost....I didn't have my insurance card on me when the fertility clinic called to arrange delivery so I had to put it on a credit card and that ONE shot costs $44!!!! Yikes! Anna B./SJF - don't fret about the whole testing thing...I'm sure your doctors are doing what' s your best interest but I think it's important to know what's available and to be your own advocate. At least now you know what questions to ask, right? How long have you both been ttc? I think that has a lot to do with it too. Dancegirl - my dh is a huge sports nut so EVERYTHING is a sports reference! I'm not even kidding - he's like a big 8 year old running around doing sprints around the house! I feel like I'm fully equipped to raise any child as my patience has definitely been tested living with him! I think he considers ttc a sport! And yes, Ballet IS a sport! Does your dh dance also? I loooove a man that can dance! I was a gymnast/dancer/cheerleader for a number of years (hence the 2 back surgeries) so I get very offended when people say that dance is not a sport! SJF, by the way, your dh DOES NOT need to come with you for the IUI....but his swimmers do. ;-) Not sure about the costs of hsg and iui...I'm sure it varies by state. I'm sure you could ask the doctor what they run so they can give you an idea. I hope everyone else is doing well...I'm gonna go mentally prepare for this injection. Do you think a glass of wine would be ok?! |
