hi girls ! well, i'm doing just fine except that my temps have me all freaked out. today is was still only at 98.1. normally after O they're much higher around 98.3-98.5 ish. so now yesteday and today they haven't risen much. i don't see any clear shift in my temps since I supposedly O'd. anyone have any clue ? bing, your temps sound promising though.......... i hope mine go up tomorrow. now i'm nervous either i didn't O or that my progesterone is too low. i have an appt. on thursday to check progesterone, so hopefully i can still implant if i get some progesterone soon ? any clue girls ? sjf - bfp mean "big fat postive" meaning we're prego. so have you had any diognostic tests or blookwork or monitoring since being on clomid ? do you not ovulate or have PCOS or know why you're having issues ? you may have underlying issues that you don't know of and taking the clomid without knowing could be very frustrating if it continues to not work. normally they say if you have no issues that your'e aware of to go to a fertility specialist, but if you're charting, etc and still nothing, they're more apt to send you to an RE faster. so you are well overdue to see an RE !!!!! get going girl !

dancegirl - March 28th, 2006 12:53 PM

sorry, sjf, i meant to say normally after a year of trying with no underlying issues they still send you to an RE. so if you've been trying for a year and half, you're definitely able to go to an RE by now........

SJF - March 28th, 2006 4:06 PM

Hey dancegirl or anyone! No I have really had no tests done expect the thyroid testing and the post cotial test or whatever it is. Did you guys get reffered to a specialist or did you do that on your own. I have it in my head for some reason that my doctor would refer me to one. What does RE mean? Does anyone use one of those clear blue easy fertility monitors, I am thinking about getting one, but I am not sure b/c they cost a lot and if I have to go see a specialist that is going to cost a pretty penny to

dancegirl - March 28th, 2006 4:20 PM

sjf, the RE stands for reproductive endocrinologist. i was referred to one by my doctor initially, but mostly becasue i pushed to see one. i had only been trying for one month but was noticing my cycles getting longer and i expressed a concern for PCOS and pushed to have bloodwork done to confirm or deny that i had PCOS. they did take blood which showed PCOS tendencies, which then confirmed that i would then need to see an RE. the RE did more blood and u/s and saw the many small cysts. anyway, i would call your insurance company and see what they cover. my insurance company initially told me they covered nothing. no infertility coverage whatsoever. so i thought i was going to have pay tons of $$ just to even see an RE. turns out the diagnostic stuff is covered, just not the procedures like IUI or IVF. it's soooooooo worth pursuing. even have your RE submit something to see if you're covered. i would look into it as much as you can and push to have someone help you out. even your regular doctor can do bloodwork to check your hormone levels. that's what mine did. they saw high testosterone and abnormal FSH/LH levels indicating i was having issues........... you could have low progesterone which is not sustaining a pregnancy after you ovulate. you could have a blockage not letting the egg get to where it needs to. so many things. how are you cycles and charting ? normal ? anything stick out or abnormal other than no success conceiving ? good luck with whatever you decide but it's been my experience and many others that you are your best advocate. be strong and get second opinions if you have to. whatever it takes to get you that little miracle !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

dancegirl - March 28th, 2006 4:24 PM

hey anna, 4 days is not far away at all. you'll be really close to us in the waiting game. hopefully by then you'll be joining the many bfps on this thread ! which by the way is getting kind of long..... anyone want to start a new thread ? clomid club 2006 - part 2 ?????

Bing - March 28th, 2006 4:39 PM

Hey ladies! Dancegirl - don't read too much into the temp thing since I'm sure there are so many things that can affect it. I had promising temps last month only to be disappointed once again. SJF - I went to my Ob/gyn and told them I had been trying on my own for a year and she referred me right away. However, part of that is because of my age (34). If you've been trying for a year-and-a-half then it's definitely time that they send you to a specialist. Point blank ask for the referral...there's no reason to NOT refer you since it's been this long. Mg- did the haircut help? I find that a manicure/pedicure treat always makes me feel better! Good excuse to pamper yourself! Anna - it may be boring now but soon you'll be obsessing with the rest of us!! Speaking of obsessing....Dancegirl, when do you suppose we can start obsessing??? At 6 dpo??? :)

Bing - March 28th, 2006 4:40 PM

Dancegirl - yes, let's start a new thread....it's taking FOREVER to scroll down!!!

dancegirl - March 28th, 2006 4:46 PM

haha, bing, i must confess i'm already obsessing ! mostly on the temps but still looking at past charts to see, hmmmm when i can i expect to get sore bbs, etc. it's soooooo bad ! these will be 2 torturous weeks ! but just think tomorrow we'll be only a week and half away instead of 2 weeks. i'm thinking around 8 dpo is when i'll really start to obesess since that when i know you can possibly implant. any earlier than that and i don't even think you've implanted yet ??? is that right ? so in about 5 days i'll be majorly obsessing i'm sure ! it's funny b/c i have a day at a spa thanks to my dh on V-day, but i've been holding on to it unitl i get prego. i figure, if i'm depressed i don't want to waste it. i want to use it when i'm super happy and feeling great so i can fully enjoy it rather than stewing on the fact that i'm not prego while getting a massage or something. so come on bfp cause i'm dying for that day at the spa !!!!!!!!! ok, i'm gonna start a new thread now..........see you ladies over there !

gitber - April 6th, 2006 2:50 PM

Hi everyone, i cound clomid club 2006, my question was I am having some light cramping in my lower ab, already went thru the hot flashes but no mood swings or anything, i did ovulate on the 16th and had sex on the 14th so i wonder if i may be prego, what do the cramps mean? anyone know

dancegirl - April 6th, 2006 2:54 PM

gitber, welcome ! if you did ovulate on the 16th you would be 21 days past ovulation right now. shouldn't you have expected your period by now ? have you tested yet ? you should definitely test b/c it would for sure show up by now. get testing !!!!!!!!!

Hello everyone! This is my second month taking Provera and Clomid after being diagnosed with PCOS. This month, I am taking 150mg of Clomid and today is day 18 and I still have not ovulated. Has anyone else experienced this? Looking forward to talking with you all.
