Hi Michelle! An HSG is when the doctor shoots dye up through your fallopian tubes to make sure there is no blockage. The dye allows them to do an xray of your tubes. It's really cool although not the most comfortable procedure! Good luck with the clomid - keep us posted.

hi michelle ! great that af showed up ! now you can join us clomid girls. when will you start your first pill ? mine will be tomorrow. scared of side effects with doubling the dose :-( and hsg is where they shoot dye up your fallopian tubes to see if there's a blockage. but sometimes just the dye will clear things up and increase your success. just need dang clomid to do it's job this month and let me ovulate ! anna, woohoo for the ewcm ! is this around the same time you saw it last month ?

I start my clomid on monday which is cd5. i know that i ovulate, but not every month. i hope it works. my ob is giving me 3 refills i think if it doesn't work then i will have to go back in or she may up it. I am not sure what dosage i will be on. i go pick it up tomorrow.

MICHELLE - I HOPE IT WORKS FOR YOU !!!!!!!!! YOU SHOULD MAKE SURE THAT YOU ARE ONLY ON 50 MG FIRST. YOU SHOULDN'T START ON ANY HIGHER THAN 50 MG. IF THAT DOESN'T WORK THEN YOU CAN MOVE UP IN DOSE, BUT TO TAKE TOO MUCH CAN LEAD TO OVERSTIMIUATION WHICH CAN LEAD TO MULITPLES OR EVEN RUPTURING OF AN OVARY. ARE THEY PLANNING ON MONITORING YOU AFTER YOUR DONE TAKING THE PILLS ? THEY SHOULD BRING YOU IN ONCE YOU'VE TAKEN ALL THE PILLS TO MAKE SURE YOU'RE NOT OVERSTIMULATED AND THAT YOUR OVAIRES RESPONDED OK TO THE CLOMID. NOT TRYING TO SCARE YOU, BUT IT'S BEST TO DO AS MUCH AS YOU CAN TO MAKE SURE THERE ARE NO RISKS INVOLVED. LOTS OF BABY DUST TO YOU !

well i am not sure - she did mention about overstimulating. but never said anything about coming back in. she did say that i will have sore bbs and stuff from it.

MICHELLE - JUST DID SOME READING TO MAKE SURE I WASN'T FREAKING YOU OUT IF I WAS WRONG. I READ THAT ALTHOUGH THEY SUGGEST MONITORING, MANY DOCTORS DON'T AND THE RISK OF OVERSTIMULATION IS VERY LOW. Kristina - first of all, good luck on the HSG today. This is about the same time that I got ewcm last month - plus I keep feeling slightly crampy every now and then so I'm hoping that means I'm close to O'ing. That's how I felt last month. Last month I O'd on cd 18 and today is cd 14 but also, last month I took clomid starting on cd 4 and this time I started on cd 2 so I'm hoping maybe I O earlier this month!

Kristina how did your hsg go today. Anna good luck. I haven't went to the doctor yet. I go tuesday, so maybe he will give me some good news lol.

Hi girls, i also have pcos and i don't ovulate on my own, I just finished my 2nd month on clomid, but just found out yesterday I did not ovulate again. My doctor moved me up from 50mg to 100mg for next month. I have to first take provera because i don't get my period on my own either. I really hope it works next month. Even just to ovulate would be great. What month are you all on? Did you ovulate right away on clomid? Also, i've heard of being on metaphormin with clomid, what is it and why do some people get put on it and not others?

Malisa - this is my 2nd month on Clomid. I took 50mg the first month and I ovulated so my doctor kept me at 50mg. Hopefully I will ovulate this month and get a bfp. I hope that you ovulate this month too. Let us know how things go.

Hi everyone, I have pcos & don't ovulate on my own. My cycle would be anywhere from 4-7 months. I just finished my 1st cycle of Clomid (50mg.) I went for my ultrasound today to see if I have any maturing follicles. I have 1 on the left 21x18. My doctor told me my best days are friday, sat. & sunday. Hi girls! I think I either ovulated today or am about to - during the night my lower left side felt crampy-ish like I was ovulating and this morning I had a ton of ewcm so we bd'd again just in case. I hope my temp goes up tomorrow morning. It has stayed at 97.6 for about 5 days now (since all the crazy temps as a result of the clomid). I'm on cd 15 so hopefully I will be in the tww soon! Kristina - how was your HSG? Hope everyone is doing well and having a good weekend! I'm stuck at work but hopefully I'll be leaving soon. :)

hi girls ! well, the hsg went well. no blockages they could see. my doc will review and get back to me but the technician said it was good. funny, but my best friend all growing up and roomy at college, but have lost touch lately, was my x-ray assistant ! so it was great to see a familiar face :-) starting my 100 mg clomid today. malisa i also didn't ovulate on my own the first round of 50 mg of clomid. i have pcos too. are you thin ? normally if you are thin with pcos, the insulin issue is not a problem and metmorphin is primarily for insulin regulating. since i'm thin and my insulin levels were fine, metmorphin wasn't really going to help much. perhpas that's why you are not on it ? i took provera as well and af showed up the day after my last pill. so we can go through the 100 mg together !!!!!!!! will let you know of course how things are going. anna, that's great !!!!!!!!!!!!! great signs for you this month ! make sure to bd lots !!!!! well, chat more later ;-) welcome jenzey !

Kristina - that's great that they didn't see any blockages! That's funny about your friend being your x-ray tech - a friend of mine is a radiologist at the hospital where my doctor is and she would have done mine but I think she wasn't working that day. Isn't it amazing how we try to eat healthy and stay in shape and then we can't get pregnant!!! You would think it would help but it actually hurts!

well ladies i have stopped bleeding for sure. i guess i just have to wait and see what the doctor says. anyway. kristina, that is good about your hsg. did it hurt too bad?
