oh great anna !!!!! woohoo. at elast you know clomid is working as it should for you. i'm noticing lots of creamy/lotioney cm yesterday and today so i'm glad clomid isn't drying me up and i'm hoping it goes to ewcm soon. i'm almost counting on thursday them telling me it didn't work again since i don't want to go through that disappointment again. don't think my dh will come with me this time since it starting to be a lot of appts. hope i can keep it together if it is bad news....... the worst if having to come to work when you're upset and trying to act like nothing is wrong...... just found out my dh's cousin just gave birth and the other who just got married in august is prego. ack ! it's so frustrating !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anna B. - March 7th, 2006 9:43 AM

Kristina - I know what you mean - it seems like everyone around me is getting pregnant! I am happy for them but jealous at the same time! I keep telling myself that my time will come and it will be even more wonderful b/c we have had to work so hard. Good luck with your appt Thursday - I hope it goes well. I hate it that I'll have bloodwork done Friday and won't get the results until Tuesday! I am not very patient these days - LOL!

dancegirl - March 7th, 2006 10:11 AM

you're right, i know what you mean about it being worth it. then sometimes i feel bad for being so dramatic about it and making it such a big deal since i've only been trying since october and there are women out ther trying for much longer and dealing with so much worse. then i almost feel guilty if i get prego b/c i acted like a big baby b/c it didn't work out the way i wanted right away and here i am only a few months later getting prego. know what i mean ? i go back and forth so much it's exhausting !

Anna B. - March 7th, 2006 10:34 AM

Kristina - I feel the same way. I'm really trying to tell myself that it is out of my hands now - dh and I have tried as hard as we can and now we just have to wait and see. I know there's no use getting stressed about it at this point since we can't do anything more but I know I still will! DH predicts that I will be pregnant by my birthday in June. I hope it's sooner!

nicole nelson - March 7th, 2006 11:19 AM

I know what you girls mean about everyone getting pregnant. It seems like everyone I know is getting pregnant, even my sister. I just hope I am next. lol. My appointment isn't until 3pm so I have to be very patient. lol. what is an RE. this whole time i have been going to the doctor the only one i have seen is the doctor. thank goodness. anyway. i will let yall know how it goes when i get back.

Anna B. - March 7th, 2006 12:11 PM

Good luck Nicole! Let us know how it goes. I'm not sure what a RE is either. I always see my doctor too.

Hi, I asked a question about ewcm and 2 of you guys said to come check this thread out. I just want to ask a few questions about what to expect when I start clomid if that's all right. My doctor has said I will start at 100 mg have any of you started that high? And what about the side effects? Mostly small stuff? I'm scared about the mood swings lol, my poor husband. Sorry for just jumping in. Hope you don't mind. Baby dust.

dancegirl - March 7th, 2006 12:37 PM

hey lynn ! welcome ! glad you joined us :-) i'm on my first time with 100 mg clomid. i did start out with 50 mg first, but i didn't respond to it. both the 50 mg and 100 mg didn't effect me at all. i had a few hot flashes, but barely noticeable. my moods have been great. almost like anna said, i think i'm in a better mood. maybe b/c i have hope that it'll work and still in the positive/hopefull part of the cycle. either way, i haven't had any bad symptoms from the clomid. do you have pcos ? did your doc say why to start at 100 and not 50 ?

Lynn27 - March 7th, 2006 1:08 PM

No, I don't have pcos. He didn't say why he wanted to start me with 100 mg he just said if you decide to take clomid then we will start you on 100 mg on day 3. Maybe because more people respond to the high dose? I really don't know. I am just waiting impatiently for af to come, hope its not like usual and takes 2 or 3 months lol, and then going to call the doctor and tell him we want the clomid. Better moods? I cant imagine, I will be so eager to see if it worked and then the 2ww. Scares me just thinking about it hahaha. Baby Dust.

Anna B. - March 8th, 2006 8:52 AM

Good morning! My temp went to 98.3 this morning so fertility friend has my O date as Sunday so now I am 3 dpo and officially in the tww! I still have a sore throat and don't feel so good so I hope I get over this quick. Nicole - how was your appt yesterday? Kristina - how are you feeling? Any signs of O???

nicole nelson - March 8th, 2006 9:09 AM

Good morning ladies. The doctor told me since I had the withdrawal bleeding from the provera that it was anovulatory period. He said if I was trying to get pregnant he would have to send me to a fertility specialist or he could put me on birth control pills to regulate my period. I figure that medicaid doesn't pay for a fertility specialist, so I went with the bc pills instead. I figure if I straighten my period out, then I will go from there.

Anna B. - March 8th, 2006 10:39 AM

Nicole - sorry they didn't have better news for you. Did they say how long they thought it would take to get your cycles back on track???

dancegirl - March 8th, 2006 10:51 AM

hi nicole, sorry to hear that. just a bit of advice if you don't mind ? from what i've learned, it seems that going on the pill does not "fix" a problem, but more like masks a problem. i have pcos and had no idea b/c i was on the pill. you don't ovulate while on the pill you just withdraw bleed. so if there is a problem that's causing you to not ovulate, you should look into what it is, rather than just going off the pill because if you do go on the pill and there is a problem you're going to be right back to the same issue when you come off.......anovulation. that is if your intent is to indeed conceive. that's just my advice. i would seek out why i wasn't ovulating so that down the road you didn't waste time just being on the pill. it only regulates your periods by causing withdrawal bleeding due to a drop in progresterone in your pills, it does not "fix" your ovulation problems. make sense ? sorry if this is too pushy, but i'd hate for you to think the pill will help and it doesn't. jsut my advice, but ask others and see what they think............good luck !

Anna B. - March 8th, 2006 11:50 AM

Nicole - I agree with what Kristina said. I did not have my period for about 5 years and they put me on the pill so I would have my period. When I came off the pill I had the same problems. My doctor decided that my body fat % was too low due to athletics and told me to gain 10 pounds and reduce exercising and it worked! I'm not sure if I was ovulating before Clomid but he put me on it to help things along. They also did a bunch of tests before I gained the weight and everything was normal so I guess the weight was the only problem - all hormone levels were normal and an HSG showed no blockage.

nicole nelson - March 8th, 2006 12:58 PM

Yeah i figure something else is wrong but i can't put my finger on it. I want them to test anything and everything, but you know I am on medicaid and i don't need to use up my doctor visits because there is no way i can pay for any of it. But i want to try to have a baby but i cannot talk my boyfriend in to leaving it in instead of pulling out. because he acts like he wants and if he does he doesn't want to admit it. you know how some men are. I would like to have a hsg done to make sure there isn't any blockages. I know my weight isn't the problem because i weigh 180 boohoo. but since i have been having all these female problems i have put on anywhere from 40 to 60 pounds. and i just don't understand. my normal weight is anywhere from 120 to 135. Some people tell me I worry to much. but i think i don't. lol.

Anna B. - March 9th, 2006 10:14 AM

Good morning! My temp went up to 98.6 this morning - yeah! Now I'll have to see how long it stays there - last month I made it to 10 dpo until it started to drop so I'm not getting excited until after then. Kristina - let us know how your doctor's appt goes today. Hope you all have a good day!
