anna, your dip and spotting conincide perfectly ! lets hope that's what it is !!!!!! an iui is artficial insemination to ensure the boys survive the trip :-) think it costs about $300. i have one more day tomorrow of 150 mg and then i'll be done with clomid for now. have another appt on wednesday to see if anything is happening but hopefully i'll have a better idea by then........who knows.

Nicole - that's great that AF started on it's own. I'm glad you are feeling better too. Kristina - I hope the iui works for you. Is it a painful procedure??? I hope that the temps and spotting mean something good - I just keep praying that my body is not playing a cruel joke on me! I'm still telling myself that AF is going to show any minute so I'm not disappointed. I'm so scared to test and get a negative. Every other time that I've tested, AF has shown up within a day so I'm a little gun shy now!

Yeah i am happy it started by itself to maybe this is the starting of a new beginning. maybe you will get lucky. i will have my fingers crossed. lol.

My temp dropped this morning so I think that AF will be here soon. I'm so depressed. It's so emotionally draining to go through this each month. I want a child so badly. That's all I want in life - to be a mom. DH and I went to an oriental restaurant for dinner the other night and my fortune was "A wish will be granted after a long delay" - isn't that ironic. I just hope it's not too long a wait.

Everyone has always told me if you want a baby too bad it won't happen, but if you don't want one it will. or in other words if you don't stress about. lol. well anna maybe soon things will work out

anna, i'm soooooo sorry. that really stinks. have you had any tests done (i.e., sperm or HSG, etc.) ? i know my doctor said that if i ovulated and didn't get prego on clomid, they would start testing me. but since i wanted the test anyway, i didn't wait. maybe you should try the opks too ? when did you bd ? today was my last day of clmid and have been feeling small pains in the ovary area so i'm hoping something is happenning down there. still have to wait until wednesday, but hopefully i'll see some ewcm or some signs before then...........

Kristina - I think AF is here for good now. This stinks! My doctor did a bunch of tests last summer when I wasn't having cycles at all and all the tests came back normal. My dh said he would get tested if I didn't get pregnant this cycle so I guess I'll have to get him to do that now. Hopefully everything is normal for him too. If I don't get pregnant this month on clomid I'm going to be really upset since they say that it usually happens within 3 months. Now I have a whole month to wait. At least clomid has made my cycles regular - today is cd 28. I just feel so hopeless - I feel like we are timing everything right but still not having any luck. I don't know what else to try. :(

anna, you should really try using the opks next month too. they're really good. maybe you think the timing is right but perhaps you're missing it. like for some people they ovulate but then take a while for their temps to go up. or do you have o pains to tell you when you're o'ing ? how often did you bd around the time you o'd ?

Hello I saw you clomid club and thought I would stick my nose in. My situation may be slightly different then most but here it goes: I am 28 and my dh is 37 we have been TTC for over a year without success. I have one ovary due to a large cyst rupturing on the other(other then that everything is great and normal), after a consult with a fertility clinic we found out my DH has 94% abnormally formed sperm (but great numbers and motility) I am seeing a personal friend who is an OB/GYN, she put us on Clomid (without a HSG first, for insurance reasons) as a favor, the plan is to try to make me Hyper fertile to help with conception. We are only going to try 3 cycles of clomid before receiving a HSG, and then moving on to IUI. I just finished my first round of Clomid and I am waiting for the big O. I am not feeling very hopeful with this whole clomid stuff, but we at least have to give it a try. I am hoping and praying something happens. Its been a tuff year and I am tired, I could really use some support to help me keep my head high.

Hi! I'm trying not to get all wrapped up in ttc this month. I'm still taking clomid this cycle but I'm trying not to obsess over everything. Kristina - how much do opk's cost? The last two months we've just tried to bd every day or every other day once I start seeing ewcm until my temp goes up. DH has finally agreed to get his swimmers tested! Luckily the doctor gave us a cup so he can do it at home and then take it in. He really didn't want to go into an office - I don't blame him! Clomid is having the same effects as usual - tired and hot flashes. AF is about gone so that is nice. Since I've taken clomid I've gotten really bad cramps - I guess b/c now I'm ovulating and before I wasn't??? How is everyone else doing???

I would be careful about doing a SA at home, thats what we did the first time and got HORRIBLE numbers, which is how we got refferred to the fertility clinic in the first place. It is a very enviromentally sensitive test. Give it a shot (no pun intended) but if your numbers are off, just get another SA at the clinic before getting stressed.

Thanks for the advice mg. He really doesn't want to go in to do the test - he says since he is only 25 that nothing can be wrong so he doesn't think it's necessary. But now that he really wants me to get pregnant he is more willing to do it. At least this is a step in the right direction! How are you doing with clomid?

Hi this is my first time ever doing anything like this. I have been on Clomid for 3mths now and the third mth I was on 100mg. I would like to know what dpo means and pcos. Sorry if that sounds dumb that I don't know. I have also been ttc for a little over 1and a half years.

Anna its really great that he is doing the test, most guys wouldnt. The thing with doing it at home, is thats its an uncontrolled enviroment, so human error is a major factor (not getting it all in the cup, plus you HAVE to have it at the clinic within 20 minutes, or the sperm will start to die.) Just to give you an idea here was our first numbers 30million, less then 1% mobility and motility. Our second test at the clinic showed his real numbers 113 million 98% motiltiy. I really would try the home approach, but if the numbers seems off, just perform the test at the clinic (you can help him there as well) I didnt know all this and I got our numbers back two days before Xmas, I was devistated to say the least, $1000 later at the fertiltiy clinic I can at least say I am more hopeful. I am not feeling very optimistic with the Clomid thing, based on our situation, but I have to keep some hope.
SJF: DPO is days past ovulation and PCOS is polycystic ovary disease. Feel free to ask me any questions you need to ask, I have done TONS of research in this area, my OB jokes saying I know more about this stuff then she does!LOL
