This is great! I'll be sure to let others know! I begin taking my temp today. I'm excited...I feel like this could be our month! Have a good day training!
: ( Training usually is not much fun! Well, just think happy baby thoughts!

Deb - August 12th, 2005 8:47 AM

I cant stop thinking about happy baby thoughts. I just have this feeling it could be our month as well! I began using my PreSeed and just have great hopes with it!!! I just cant believe I have to wait 3 more weeks to know if I would be prego or not..waiting stinks!!!

Deb - August 12th, 2005 8:49 AM

So how did taking your temp go? Just so I know what your cycle is this month..when are you due for ov and af?

Karen - August 12th, 2005 9:17 AM

Hi Deb and Mel - I've found you both! I've been so caught up in everything - I'm just getting back to the forum and finding out what is happening - where is Heather?! Hahah. So you guys are tracking temps - this is good - although I didn't expect to fall pregnant the month I began tracking - it was really useful in learning about my body - and when I was suspecting pregnancy - the temps helped me sort through what possible stay I was going through. Remember - once you note a rise in temp - this apparently signals that your egg has been released. In my case we did the BD on July 18th, 20th and 21st (while ovulating given the signs, i.e. cm changes). My temp went up on July 23rd - so I think my egg was released on the 22nd....by the way I continued to have signs of ovulation up to the 25th - but we didn't have any more sex after the 21st! So I think we conceived on the 22nd. My period was due August 6th. Although I couldn't be sure that we had conceived, my elevated temperature kept me hopeful - I kept waiting for it to drop with all the signs I was getting thinking my AF was about to arrive - but it stayed elevated. I figured it would have dropped on the 4th or 6th - but it stayed steady - so the feelings of pregnancy combined with elevated temps made me think - heh I might be pregnant - exciting eh! The two weeks following ovulation are overwhelming - and I'm glad you will have one another and folks like myself and those that join to support you - it will happen ladies! And tracking temps will help you sort through your cycle! Good luck you too....talk with you soon. Muchos baby dust.... :o)

Deb - August 12th, 2005 9:36 AM

Karen thanks so much for the tips!! It so awesome to have people help you like this! This my 2nd cycle tracking my temps and your right..its so helpful. Its the only way I really know I for sure have ovulated due to my rise in temp. Last month my temps shot up on Day 14..so I assumed my egg was released on Day 13...so this month..my hubby and I started bding from cycle day 8 and will continue until I notice my rise in temp. I am also using PreSeed which I have heard so many positive things from. Many couples conceiving the 1st month they use it. This is my first month using it so how awesome would that be. They say the average time it takes a couple to conceive is 6 months..and this is our 6th month so my hopes are high!!! Gosh...it took me this long just to figure out my cycles so I am hoping this is it!!!! When you and your hubby did bd...did you do it once each day..or multiple times? Any suggesstion as to morning or night?

Mel - August 13th, 2005 11:11 AM

Hi gals! I haven't been on in a couple days bc/ my grandparents and my mom came to visit for a few days! It was wonderful having them! But I couldn't wait to get on here and see how everyone was doing. I started taking my temps, but today was my first day without AF. I took it during the end of my period to practice! : ) Now that she has left, the games can begin once again! Deb - I'm excited too, I think this is our month! Especially yours! 6 months is the average! You better get ready! : ) Next month my hubbie will be out of town training for 3 1/2 weeks and during my ovulation time! So I think next month is out for us, so this month is better be it! It would be hard to wait a whole month before trying again. Or maybe I'll fly down and visit him! That's a better idea! A couple quick questions... what does your temp do just before you are about to ovulate and then what does it do once you have ovulated? I am going to start o testing on Wednesday. That would be day 11 of my cycle and test through day 17. I'm bound to ovulate within those days. Well ladies have a nice Saturday! Baby dust to you all!

Hi Deb and Mel - it's Karen - August 13th, 2005 4:55 PM

Hi U2 - how are you - I've not posted here for a bit - sorry for the delay. I've had some interesting developments over the past few days. Here's a catch up - had my pregnancy confirmed on August 10th by nurse and was referred to a mid wife - that afternoon had some additional bleeding (first time since implantation bleeding on August 6th). I also had a persistant dull ache on my right side for a couple of days. With the new bleeding - it was brown and looked old by the way - I called the midwife and was told to go into the ER. Did as instructed. Blood, urine, interal and vaginal u/s. On August 10th I was 4 weeks and 2 days. The internal didn't note any problems and my u/s revealed three specs in my uterus - don't ask - cause I don't know..haha - the radiologist believes one of them is the gestational sac but it was too early to see or tell anything. There was no explanation for my pain and by the time the 6 hours was up - the pain had subsided. They ruled out a tubal pregnancy because there was no fluid build up or swelling picked up from the u/s. Anyways - Friday August 12th - I get a call from midwife - my hcg levels are only at 907 - which she considers low...which threw me into a panic. With some research and help from various boards on this site I am more confident now that my levels likely are okay - the range of hcg for stages of pregnancy are broad and varied it seems. And other women shared that they only had levels of 42 or 101 at 4 weeks and now they are doing fine. My next u/s is scheduled for August 19th...hope to see baby and a heartbeat! Hubby and I are really nervous....I'm really tired and bloated...boobs aren't as sore anymore - I am five weeks today. Anyways - as for you two - charting your temps is the best way to figure out when to do for the following month...heh Deb - you'll see as you track. My husband and I did the bd only once on each of the following days - July 18th, 20th and 21st (but the last one was on all fours - sorry if tmi) but they say that position allows for deep penetration of the sperm so they don't have to work so hard. Each time I also lied in bed for a minimum of 30 mins. That's how long it takes for the sperm to find the egg....based on my temps - my egg likely was released until the 22nd - so there were sperm in waiting for it when released. I ovulated from July 20 - 25th by the way. First day I thought something might be up was July 29th - thought my period was coming on - cramps - constipation - but that would have been a week too early! Remember - take your temp first thing in the morning - as soon as your eyeballs open - don't get up to pee or talk to hubby, cat, dog, stranger..whatever - just take your temp - and be sure you have been sleeping at least three hours prior to waking. My normal temps were about 96.9. Friday my temp was this and then Saturday the 23rd - bang my temp was 97.3. only .5 of a degree but enough to tell me I had released my egg. My temps remained elevated until July 26th and then on July 27th - they shot up from 97.3 to 97.7. And that is where my temp is holding...I figured it would drop with my AF expected August 6th - but it didn't - but since I tested on August 4th and had a faint positive - the cat was out of the bag - we were preggo! By the way LMP was July 11th - I began to ovulate 10 days later for six days or so - 10 days later I got a positive...hope this helps ladies....I think once you get this tracking down - your odds of conceiving are gonna skyrocket! Its so important to know your body - I always thought I had a 28 day cycle - guess what I am a 26er!! This could really throw things off if you are not aware....there were months where apparently I was 28 - but again, better to know than not...let me know if you need more info...oh - hubby and I also came home early from work on the 20th to do the BD!!! We put it on the to-do list that day! Haha...good luck and happy BD's.... :o)

Deb - August 13th, 2005 6:45 PM

Hey guys. Wow Karen thanks for all the info!!! We are on it. Last month I ovd on day 13 of my cycle..so we have been bding since the 8th day of my cycle just to be sure. We will continue till I see the spike in my temp. Mel - That is when you can tell yuo have ovulated. Right as ovulation is occurring..your temps will begin to drop alot...then..once they rise substantially for a consistent 2 days from that...that confirms ovulation. Your ovulation will then be complete the day of the temp rise (the last day of real low temps..is supposed to be the day your egg is released). Did I confuse you? Hope not. I have been taking ovk since day 9..too be sure I dont miss an early ovulation and they have all been negative. (They are so hard to read..lol). I am hoping to wake up in the am and one be positive. At least then I will know my ovulation is consistent. Mel - Thanks for the good karma. I think it is our month!!!! BABY DUST TO ALL OF US!!! Karen keep us updated. I look forward to hearing your story of your next doctor appointment. How exciting will that be to actually see the baby?? I am sooo happy for you!!
HEATHER...you out there? Anyone heard from her?

Mel - August 13th, 2005 9:45 PM

Karen, thanks a bunch for all your great info! It helps to hear what has worked for others! I was wondering how Heather was doing earlier! You out girl? We hope all is well and we're thinking of ya! : ) Deb - you always have to have positive thoughts ya know! It's what keeps us at this right?! Thanks for clarifying the ovulation/temp confusion I've had! So the dip in temp should coincide with a positive ovulation test, right? I'm just trying to figure all this stuff out! : ) Have you tried the PreSeed yet? If so what do you think of it? Have a great night bding, hopefully! Happy baby dreams!

Jodi - August 14th, 2005 12:45 AM

Positive thoughts for you girls, I got a bfp today, I know I don't usually post here but wanted to give you some luck. I say my prayers everynight for all of the girls on here trying, and I will keep saying them, as I believe in the power of god!! Lots of prayers and tons of baby dust!!!!

jue - August 14th, 2005 6:41 AM

Hi girls, I have been temping for 3 months and got my BFP on 9th july, cd36, 13 dpo. I am 5 weeks and 4days pg and due 11th April 06. I had been ttc for 13 months and had 2 m/c before I started charting my temps, I was also getting worked up if I was late for af and would waste hpts to find out. I thought if I charted my temps I would have more of an idea what was happening with my body and my cycle, plus I would have a clearer idea when to test and save myself some money. well here is my chart if you want a peek. www2.fertilityfriend.com/home/c0767 . Good luck to all who are ttc and sending lost of baby dust and super glue :)

Deb - August 14th, 2005 5:41 PM

Jodi that is so sweet. Thanks for praying for us! Congrats to you and Jue!!! Jue - I will check out your chart!! Mel - Yes. Once your temp drops really low..you should get a positive on the opk..but for some reason..unless I am reading mine wrong..I dipped real low yesterday (97.20)..then this morning I was higher 97.70..but still no positive on the opk (The lines just dont look like they should so I dont know now if I have ovulated yet. Arrrgggh. I will just keep bding though. Maybe I just had a slight fever this morning...who knows. We'll see if they are high again tomorrow! Yes we begun using the PreSeed. It is definetly much nicer...lol..and I hope it does the job!!! How about you? Did you get any?

Mel - August 15th, 2005 9:58 AM

Morning ladies! Deb - I have not tried the PreSeed yet. Myabe I'll try next month.I wanted to see what you thought of it! Yesterday was an exciting day! I had a babyshower for my girlfriend and it was wonderful, but she just wasn't feeling right. She is due October 2nd, but she ended up leaving the party and going to the hospital. She was already 4cm dilated! Can you believe it! I went up to see her last night and b/c it's early then were trying to stop the contractions and delay delivery. They were hoping that she would last about 18 more hours before they would go ahead and let her deliver. She was so uncomfortable though. I felt so bad for her. She is just so ready to have this baby! They said within the next two days she will have that baby! I haven't talked to her yet this morning, but she said they would call if they were going to deliver. So exciting! It made me nervous for her! Well this week I start bding again! Wednesday I will start tesing for ovulation. I'm excited for this month! My girlfriend said that because she was delivering early that it was a good month for babies! Maybe we will all get BFP's! Have you guys been bding? Has anyone ovulated yet? I know you all are ahead of me in your cycles. Have a wonderful day everyone! Happy baby thoughts!

Deb - August 15th, 2005 10:12 AM

Mel what an exciting weekend for you!!! Hope that is good luck for all of us! The PreSeed is awesome and I will know eventually if it really works I guess. I posted a question in the forum cause I still havent ovualted yet..and none of my opk's have come back positive..so I was getting nervous. Check out my chart...http://www2.ferti
lityfriend.com/home/c7c65
.
I usually ovulate on day 13..which is today..but no positive test yet. We have been actively bding all week. I really hope it dont miss it this month!!! Have you ever heard of this? I am just praying this is a late ov month for me and it will happen soon!

Deb - August 15th, 2005 10:13 AM

Mel is has your charting going? Have you ovulated yet??

Mel - August 15th, 2005 12:47 PM

Hey Deb! I looked at your chart. It looks like you should be ovulating real soon. I havne't ovulated yet. I will start testing on Wednesday. Maybe you'll just ovulate a bit late this month. I wouldn't worry! Especially because you have been bding everyday BFP! I have been charting, but it's only been two days since af stopped. So there's not a lot to look at just yet. This week and next week will be important for me. I have to run, but will chat more later! Baby dust!
