Can you tell me what the ewcm is and when it occurs. I've heard a few different things. Here is why I need the answer: According to my cycle and babyhopes.com (which gave me a 5 day window frame of fertility) I could O between 8/20 and 8/25 or 8/26. My and dh bd on 8/21 and on 8/24 got home from work and had this clump of ewcm - so we bd again and plan on it again tonight. I used an OPK test which read - last night and again this morning. What do you think about the ewcm and my chances of hitting O right?
Is the clumpy gooey ewcm the beginning or end of O? Is it more milky at the beginning? Some sites say I'm at the end, I already O - I'm SOOOO Confused. You always seem to be right on the money so please help.

Fertile mucus (raw egg white cm) appear in the days leading up to and including ovulation. Ovulation is close to 14 days before your next expected period. Ewcm is clear and can be stretched an inch or more between finger and thumb. Last night's semen can confuse the issue. Your OPK should give a positive about the same time as you have ewcm. If your cm is not giving you a clear picture, finger check also the cervical position, which is SHOW (Soft, High, Open, Wet) at ovulation. If still confused, go to fertilityfriend.com, buy a BBT thermometer, and start charting. Good luck!
