Naomi98 - Thank you for the update. I know you had a ball in France. When will you be moving their for good? When should the house be finish. I know you can't wait. Wow I can't believe you are 13 weeks already it seem just like yesterday that you were posting that you were pg.

I can wait on the information for the clomid thanks for thinking about me. Well let me give you an update on me. On Sep 4 I was on cd 28 I took a hpt because it was my test date well it was neg with fmu I was okay with that but I had no signs of AF well when I got home from work still no AF so I still had some internet cheapies and it was bfp but the line wasn't as dark as I wanted it to be. I had thought I will just test again in the morning well I got woke up out of a deep sleep about 3am to the most heavy bleeding and passing some real huge clots I have never seen anything like this before and this lasted for just about 3 days I was in so much pain I just wanted to die. I finally did stop I truely believe I did conceive but had a m/c. I am doing much better.

I started using my opk on Sunday cd10 and today I'm on cd 12 and I got a bfp I am not really trying this time around we did bd yesterday in the wee hours of the morning but we didn't as of yet today. I will keep you posted on that.

Also I am really starting to see the end of the tunnel as far as having the surgery done. I am happy that Friday is in a few days I will be sending in another payment. I will do this after I get my stupid flu shot. My new balance will either be $450.00 or $275.00.

Also I am in the process of planning a tea party for my soon to be 5 year daughter next month. I just found out that she have 18 little girls in her class and she makes 19. I know one thing these parents had better RSVP. Well I will be talking to you soon. Rub your belly and take care of yourself. Krissy

Hi Krissy, hun, I'm so sorry to hear about the chemical pregnancy. That's really hard to deal with. It's horrible having that rush of joy and then have it all taken away from you in a flash (I'm sure you conceived if you got a BFP). Does it make you feel any more hopeful that it might happen eventually? Anyways, I'm just sorry to hear what you went through and hope you're feeling better now.
I can't post much more as we have a powercut right now and i need to save my computer battery but I'm thinking of you and i'll write more later xx

sunshine7610 - September 18th, 2009 8:24 PM

Hi Naomi and Krissy! It's been a while since I've checked in here. Naomi, I didn't know you were going to France. How amazing that must have been. Was it purely vacation or some work too? So are you having a house built in Angola or doing renovations? I can't believe you are 13 weeks now! Wow that time flew by. ....Maybe not to you if you've had morning sickness! It just seems like yesterday you got your bfp. I hope the rest of your pregnancy goes smoothly for you! What made you go into the hospital in France?

Krissy, you are almost there in paying things off! You'll have it done in no time. It must be heartbreaking to have had that early bfp and then lose it but it's still very encouraging that you got a bfp at all, right?

As for my little update, here it is. I phoned my RE a couple days ago to see if we needed to do anything before we get into the swing of things with IVF. I was on day 16 so they said I can start doing injections on day 19 (today) of suprefact to start supressing my ovaries and I have to go back in a week for a scan and I should probably get my period then too, and then I guess I start the injections a couple days after. AAAHH! So it looks like I'm really doing this now! I'm kind of freaked out and scared about the whole thing but I've kind of run out of choices. So, it's weird b/c I know I ovulated a few days ago, but my temp never really went up like it should. So when my dr told me to start the meds I was worried about starting them when I still had a chance of being pregnant. But with my temps now, I'm not worried and am glad that we are starting it all now instead of waiting another cycle. So keep your fingers crossed for me and I'll keep you updated! Mandi.

Naomi98 - September 19th, 2009 1:44 PM

GASP, Mandi, it's really happening. Holy crap!! You know it's weird, I had also started those discussions with the clinic in SA (before I got the BFP obviously) and I must say I found it all suddenly very real....like OMG this is it. I am truly crossing everything for you, rubbing my belly AND picking the four-leafed clover plus I've got the luck of the Irish on my side - you're well covered! I really really hope this works first go! Anyways don't be freaked out...the clinic i was in touch with made it sound really manageable. I think the 2ww is probably the worst bit! And yes most definitely keep us updated or we will track you down lol!
Oh and the house that we're renovating is in France. That's where we went to for our holidays. It's not quite finished but we had the basics at least and it is so beautiful. It's an old stone farmhouse, really grand looking. We just love it.
Krissy, how are things going with you? Having a good weekend I hope. I'm just chilling out at home. I'm supposed to be working but I'm too damn lazy! Having a scan next week so hoping that everything is still going ok in there.
talk soon xx

Krissy68 - September 21st, 2009 3:38 PM

sunshine - How are you doing? I am so happy for you that you are doing your IVF. I am keeping you in my prayers and my fingers are cross for you that you get a bfp. Please keep us updated.

Naomi98 - How are you doing? As for me I am just taking it one day at a time. I am now focus on having a tea party for my daughter who will be turning 5 in October. I did get a few things on Saturday I just hope it turn out okay. She have 18 little girls in her class and including her makes 19. I just hope they parents understand what the words RSVP means or someone will be left out on the goodie bags. I am really on a tight budget. I will keep you all updated on the tea birthday party. Rub your belly for me!!!

Here is my little update. I am in the 2ww I ovulated on cd 14 and I am currently on cd18 and 4dpo. I should be starting AF on Oct 3 and I can test on Oct 4. I also have decided that I am not going to renew my VIP with fertility friends for a few months so that way I can take a break and not really think about it. I will keep you all updated. I hope you all have a nice evening. Krissy

austynsmommy - How are you doing and feeling. Thank you for the support. Krissy

austynsmommy - September 23rd, 2009 5:41 PM

I'm doing good. 28 weeks pregnant on the sunday. I'm ready to be done though. I love being pregnant but it is so hard with a 9 month old that is into everything lol. Good luck on your surgery. I really hope it works for you.

Naomi98 - September 29th, 2009 6:18 AM

Amanda, thanks hun, it's been a real struggle to get to this point! I'm 15 weeks and due end of March. I still can't believe you have been pregnant twice since we met on here lol! It's just crazy. I hope things have calmed down a little bit for you...I remember you had some tough times a while ago.
Krissy, this is going to sound weird, but i had a dream you were pregnant the other night! It was very vivid, you posted on here to tell us and you were so excited!! I hope it's an omen ;-)
I'm doing great. My jeans are starting to feel a little tight so I might need to invest in some maternity wear soon. I wonder how Mandi is getting on with IVF?
x

sunshine7610 - October 12th, 2009 8:33 PM

Hi Naomi and Krissy, it's been a while and alot is happening now. I got right into the swing of things with ivf and my stim has gone really well they tell me. I have 12 good sized follicles all together now plus a few more smaller ones. I had an appt today and my retrieval has now been booked for Wednesday! AAAAAHHHH! I'm kind of excited and scared to death all at the same time. I know what's going to happen b/c I've worked in a fertility clinic as part of my job for a few years now and I've assisted with doing retrievals so I know what the giant needle looks like!!! I hope I'll be like the patients that doze off for the whole thing! We decided to do ICSI since we fall under the heading of unexplained fertility so I'm praying that all goes well and we get lots of little embryos. So say a prayer for me!

How are you girls doing? Naomi, how's that little baby growing? Are you going to find out if it's a girl or boy? You must be nearing the 18-20 week stage where you have your anatomy scan!

Krissy, how about yourself? You last wrote when you were in the 2ww. Any luck with that cycle?? Are you any nearer to getting that procedure done?

I'll talk to you again soon and let you know how it all went. Say a prayer!
Mandi

Naomi98 - October 13th, 2009 3:16 PM

Mandi, that is AWESOME. I'm so excited for you! I hope the retrieval is nice and relaxing and painfree! And what a great response to the meds - way to go the ovaries lol. So I have a question for you. A friend of mine has been prescribed 4 months of Clomid and the doctor told her that if she didn't get pregnant, they should move on to ICSI. I thought that was quite a jump so i was wondering what is the logic. Why ICSI as opposed to regular IVF if you're unexplained infertile? Anyways, I'm thinking of you and hoping, hoping that you get some extra sticky beans back from the lab :-)
I'm 17 weeks tomorrow and starting to develop a bit of a tummy. I'm going for a scan next week and can't wait. I don't know if they'll be able to tell the gender yet but I really want to know.
Krissy, what news with you girl?
xx

sunshine7610 - October 13th, 2009 10:35 PM

How they explained to me was that with unexplained, you don't really know why you're not getting pregnant. But one possibly is that there is a problem with the sperm fertilizing the egg. There's a chemical reaction that needs to take place when the sperm breaks through the cumulus cells surrounding the egg and breaks through inside. If that is the case and you just do ivf you may not get any fertilization. If that happens, then the bonus is you know WHY you never got pregnant but you'll have to do it again with icsi the next time. They told me that with conventional ivf, there is a 10% chance you will get no fertilization, but with icsi there is a 2% chance you will get no fertilization. Much better odds. So if a person has already conceived before, than ivf is probably the way to go and icsi isn't necessary. There are so many little things that need to happen in order to get fertilization but at least with icsi, you can skip that step of the sperm trying to break through into the egg on its own. My re said that some labs do icsi on everybody. But it's actually not really necessary. We are opting to do icsi just to get a better chance of having a good fertilization rate in case that is what our problem is. It's a gamble really but I've never been pregnant so we don't want to take any chances. Hope that helps!

Naomi98 - October 16th, 2009 5:03 AM

OK, I see why it makes sense now. My friend lives in Asia and the doctors there aren't always forthcoming with explanations so she was a bit confused about it. How did the retrieval go? When do they get put back in lol? That part shouldn't be too bad though right?
I've had a crazy week, lots of time on my feet and running after people! I'm realising that running workshops is not a good idea for me right now. I've one more to do next month and then I think I'll stop. I'm so looking forward to Saturday when I can go to the beach and sleep!

babynewbie - October 19th, 2009 7:28 PM

Naomi!!! How are you? I haven't been here in sooooo long and I just popped in and saw your name. I read through some of the thread, I'm so sorry for what you went through but so happy for you now!!! Amazing to overcome and now to be pregnant is truly wonderful!!! Congrats!

In case you don't remember I'm Regan, friend with Ann Marie..who is due at Christmas with a little boy! I had a little girl (Olivia Rose) back in February and I'm expecting again now and due in May!!!

Anyway, I wish you all the best and that you enjoy your little bundle of joy next year!

Cheers, Regan

Hey girls I am so sorry that I have been MIA for 3 weeks. I am so happy for the both of you ladies. I am keeping my fingers cross for you Mandi when do you get to test. Try and relax and take it easy. Naomi I can't wait for the update on the u/s. How was the beach?

Here is my update. I am currently on cd18/4dpo and I didn't do anything this cycle I started on Oct 2 and I have only taken my temp when I remember too. I didn't take the opk and I let my VIP expire on fertility friend. I only have to pay $150 for my surgery and they said I can actually pay this at my post op appointment but I think I will try and have as much paid before than. I did skip Friday's payment because I had TaNiya's (my baby daughter who turned 5 on Oct 7) princess tea party we had so much fun. I do have a surgery date on November 24 and I have to start my liquid diet on November 23 and I have to do 2 fleets enemas and take that magnesium citrate (liquid laxative) I am so scared now. I have 5 weeks and 1 day left before surgery. I picked up my birth control pills last Monday and I have to start taking these on my first day of my period I think that should be around Oct 30. I will keep you all posted. Take care. Krissy
